Overcoming challenges in life to achieve my ambitions so far
Life is all about facing challenges. Its about learnings and experiences. Like the reading of heartbeat has to have some ups and downs, the same way is the journey of life. If its straight, then there is no life.
Since childhood I had been an introvert. I was too shy to interact with anyone and lacked inner confidence. This way I had an awkward inferiority complex in myself and the major challenge for me was to come out of that zone and transform myself from an introvert person to an ambivert person.
It happened when I went to hostel for the first time for my graduation. I tried getting out of my comfort zone to be a part of various teams and interacting with many people. I had to put in a lot of effort to push myself to get rid of that fear. My personality and behavior started changing for good and this helped me to make good friends and build an inner confidence. By the end of four years I landed up in a job.
As I stepped into my corporate life, there were so many challenges waiting for me. Firstly, it was a whole shift from college life to a corporate life. I had to put in a lot of efforts with no support from any senior end. After sometime I started feeling that I don’t belong to that place. My life had become very monotonous and I couldn’t see any element of growth. At that time, I thought of preparing for my CAT and pursue MBA. With a ten hours shift in the office it was really challenging to take out time to attend classes and study. The night shifts and working weekends made it really next to impossible. The one year journey for the preparation of CAT was all about saving minutes and seconds from my day so that I could give my 100% and crack it. The biggest challenge was to take the risk of quitting my job. Finally the results and landing in such a prestigious B school makes it all worth while.
