The ABG Brand That Touched My Life - B. Harisudan, TAPMI

Food generally doesn’t fail to garner interest in me. Being a 90s kid, mom made homemade food will always be my favourite. My early childhood days were those were cellular phones and the whole idea of online food delivery was something I didn’t even know I could dream of. That’s how I got introduced to my first Aditya Birla Group (ABG) product – the HINDALCO Freshwrapp Aluminium foil. Never knew that my mom was actually good at this thing, decades ago – the term which now holds a lot of value in my career – packaging, myself being a marketing major pursuing my PGDM in TAPMI. The concept of food packaging has now witnessed an enormous reach and application, it is no more just a generic household food add-on. Even in this world where many of us are on our toes most of the time, with food finding its presence in closed lids, anything wrapped in an aluminium foil always reminds me of two things first, my mom’s food and Freshwrapp.

The next ABG brand’s products I owned was Peter England. My first formal shirt belonged to this brand. Though many of my friends back then, almost 90% of us had blue shaded formal shirt, I could say for sure that two of them were conspicuous. One was mine, a Peter England product, and then the other one was something that dropped my jaw, even now. Louis Philippe and Van Heusen are two such brands which still haven’t found a place in my wardrobe. I hope I get them in, not as a gift but with my own hard-earned money.
