“Our ability to handle life’s challenges is a measure of our strength of character”- Les Brown

Though we may not always realize it, life’s limitations can sometimes inspire us to strive for heights we may not have reached otherwise. As correctly stated by less brown the ability to handle lots of challenges since your childhood be it small or large and standing against them shows how much strength you have got to face these challenges.

There would be number of challenges that we face in our life from being not understanding a subject to a public speaking fear to getting a job to start your own company etc. I too had many challenges but one major challenge I got to face in my life was back pain initially during school days which became so intense that I was not able to sleep in my bed because of the pain and continuously used to spend sleepless nights. Initially I consulted a general physician and he just told me that it could be because of excessive studying and playing. But again in 1st year of college the pain became so severe that I had to again consult a doctor and this time he suggested me to consult a neurologist because he assumed that there could be a problem in my spine. The neurologist than examined me and send me to a rheumatologist and then rheumatologist told me that u suffer from a disease called Ankolysing Spondlytis due to which some of the spines of your body have started fusing up and if it continues to you may need to undergo an operation and be on bedrest for 2 years. I was completely lost and cried a lot that why the hell its me who had such disease and all my hard work till date will go in vain suffering from this disease. I started to keep away from people always cried and kept alone in my room. But then I thought its not over, yet I researched a lot about this disease and got to know that daily exercise, yoga and playing some sports can cure you to a vast extent and there will also be a reduction in pain and continuing these will never lead to operation. I stared doing exercise and yoga daily and again stared playing badminton and since 6 years I am continuously doing all these and because of the internal strength, support and  motivation I received from my parents ,peers ,relatives and colleagues I am able to overcome this challenge. Back pain still happens it can’t be cured completely but I tried to eliminate it and continue doing my studies and job and again be a part of one the reputed B-school doing MBA. This was the biggest challenge that I have faced in my life and has overcome with it and now I don’t fear of any other challenge that would come in my life.
