I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul, these words by William Henley very closely define my philosophy in life that is to take charge. The amazing concept of “Locus of Control” taught in the 1st trimester in our MBA was an amazing learning that helped me understand myself and the people around. It simply states that, whom people blame for their failure. With those having external locus of control, blame others but my type having an internal locus believes that we are in control and take acceptance of our failures.
Having completed major portion of my education, I can attest that there were challenges faced at each turn. Ranging from fluctuating grades between 10th, 11th and 12th, to going into an elaborate search for college seemed a huge hurdle at that time. But it was successfully cleared with the help of family and friends. Apart from these, there were challenges inside too. The challenges of the society around, as to what you want to change to what you can change, were also there, closely eating away my sleep several nights. On this front, I tried contributing my time and energy to the cause I could associate with, which is the depleting greenery on our planet.
Moving to the next phase of life, i.e. moving out of home, the frequency of challenges and learning increased and were welcomed. Moving from Mechanical to IT based company may seem like every other household story but the learning I have gathered has enabled me to be the man that I am today. On the forever quest of betterment, I continue to grab every opportunity to learn, taking challenges head on.
