This is a very recent part of my life the memories are still fresh in my mind. I had just completed my graduation and was planning to join an B-school. My father had just started a new business it was starting to become lucrative, but one of the investors pulled out of the new venture and all of the sudden this new lucrative venture was starting to become starved of capital it needed to grow especially in these initial days.

The pressures of starting a new business was starting to get to my father he was for the first time in my life starting to show the signs of old age for the first time in his life. People say that meeting your hero is bad, but as I found out see you hero age was even worse.

Now here’s the thing I come from a business family and all men in my family are expected to join the family business. My mother and father were pressuring me to help my father run the new business. I had two options join my father and give up my dreams or follow my dreams and abandon my father in his time of need.

After a few tense days around the house, my father and I Came up with a compromise that I defer my education by a year and help him get the business back up on its fees after which I would be able to join a B-school to follow my dreams.
