‘Why Aditya Birla Group is Big in my life’
Being a person with a distinct and slim body frame, I was searching for a suit having a perfect fit to put on for my UG college placement interviews. And Peter England turned out to be the only brand which fitted me to the tee. The elegance and the perfect fit of the suit gave me additional confidence to perform well in the interview. My outfit even managed to garner attention during the interview when a panellist asked about the sharpness of the suit.
Similarly, I went in for the IIM interviews with the Peter England Suit. And now I am here, studying at IIM Ranchi. Till now, Peter England has been my only choice for business suits.
Home is where the heart lies.
My house is near the railway station. And the water in the locality is not conducive for construction. We used UltraTech cement for the house construction since most of the engineers prescribed it. The house is now in excellent condition even after many years. It's a testament to the superior quality of the cement.
Besides, my father is a loyal user of Vodafone-Idea mobile network. There was one instance where we went on a family trip to a remote location. While all of us except my father lost network connectivity, the Vodafone-Idea network of my father came to the rescue for sharing valuable information.
The products of the Aditya Birla group is an integral part of my everyday life and billions of other lives. I look forward to being a part of the journey that the group has undertaken to make the lives of the people better.
‘How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far’
Swami Vivekananda once said, “In a day when you don’t come across any problems, you can be sure that you are travelling in a wrong path.”
These are the words that I would remember during challenging times. A day without challenge is a day without progress. Problems that we face are the primary factors that shape our character, define us and makes us who we are.
Although we face challenges daily, the one thing that I would consider as my most significant challenge was that I had to stay focused on my academics during my childhood days in spite of the financial difficulties of my family and the social problems of it. The factor which made it the most challenging was that the environment was not conducive to concentrate on academics. I overcame the challenging times with conviction and self-belief to focus on academics. My parents gave me the much needed moral support during those times. From the events mentioned above, I learned to stay focused on the issue at hand during challenging times and not ceding to the noises over which I have no control. It had helped me to prepare for my MBA admissions.
During my stint at work, the idea of doing an MBA came across. The challenging part was to prepare for CAT in the weekends. Most of the weekdays and occasionally weekend would be hectic at the office. So there was minimal time to prepare for the exam, and I managed my time well to clear CAT, practice for the WAT & PI and get into IIM Ranchi.
