Taking a trip down the memory lane, I realise that my connection with the Aditya Birla Group started at the age of 16, when the aspiration of securing an admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani started sprouting up in me. However, the life hasn’t gone the way I wanted. It took me the way it wanted. I didn’t have the courage to repeat another year and pursue my dream back then. Hence I had to subside my dream with at most despair and pursued my engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University.
The regret and despair in failing to land up where I wanted to, grew within me. This fire in me transformed my perception about life and the success in life. It gave me the courage to pursue my dreams despite the peer and family pressures. I took up all the challenges that come across me in my college life without the fear of failure.
After working in a management consultancy for a year, the dream of pursuing MBA took hold of me. Having scored a pathetic 59%ile in CAT 2017, I experienced the same trauma 5 years back. Despite the pressure to join in any of the B-schools out there and and pursue my dream, It took courage from my previous experience of failing to land up in BITS, Pilani. I decided to resign my job and work on my weaknesses and attempt CAT 2018. Having scored 96.37%ile in CAT 2018, I got into only my dream B-school- T.A.Pai Management Institute, Manipal.
Now my life revolves around the motto: All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Though, other services and products from Adithya Birla Group namely its cellular network, fashion brands etc. play an inevitable role in my life. Its my failed dream to get into BITS transformed my life and perspective about life.
