What better joy in life than seeing your parents proud of where you are in life? I’ve been fortunate to experience moments like these be it when I scored well in the exams that mattered or got my first job offer with India largest conglomerate or when I read out the admission letter to a prestigious B-School. Though they may seem trivial, it wasn’t for my parents who didn’t have the opportunities in their lives to do this.

Challenges always stared from a distance. Be it monetary or that of resources or the lack of time. However, with the support of my parents and peers, I’ve been able to overcome them. Landing a job with the TATA group was one of the proudest moments of my life. It’s been a joy to be associated with them and even greater joy because my family thought I achieved what they couldn’t in their long lives.

The most recent example I can think of is of the time I was preparing for the Common Admissions Test. Juggling studies while working all day was quite a challenge but the motivation of joining a prestigious school walked me through to the end. I can only imagine a similar challenge peers I’m with now have had but we all would know that at the end of the day, it was worth the time and the effort.

Challenges exists in life everyday trying to bring us down, questioning our every move. It however it important not to succumb to them. If not for you, do it for the people who matter to you because their joy has no bounds!
