Aditya Birla Group in my life:
Aditya Birla Group is a large conglomerate and a US $44.3 billion corporation and finds itself in the League of Fortune 500. It made inroads in almost all the sectors, namely Fashion and Retail, Chemicals, Payments bank, Infrastructure, cement, Telecom, etc. Through all this, Aditya group is touching millions of lives one way or another. It provides a livelihood to 120,000 employees worldwide in over 34 countries and touches millions worldwide daily through their products and services. Moreover, it actively contributes to the social and economic development of the communities through their CSR work. They work in 5000villages, hold medical camps, operates schools, holds immunization programs for children, Midday Meal, providing solar lamps and lastly skill training, and this group does all this work through their CSR program.
It touched my life in many ways and that too in most important occasions of my life. I usually buy my formal clothes from Peter England, and I also wore ABG brand clothes for important events like my interview for CAT (2018) for selection for IIM, and now here I’m in IIM Ranchi. I also took my first Suit from Louis Philippe, one of the premier brands of the group and it will stay in my memory forever as I bought it to wear on the date of my sister’s marriage. Aditya group was and is a part of my life in all the mundane and important parts of my life, and I’m thankful for it.
Challenges in my Life:
I’m from a small town from Telangana and like everyone, I too had big dreams to achieve. I always got good marks through my secondary school days, high school days and stayed in the top cream of my class and eventually joined one of the premier engineering institutes of India, IIT Kharagpur and here also, I did better in my academics and because of all this I felt complacency in my life and thought that I could get anything easily. But as soon as I entered the real world, I realized that the life is not going to sail smoothly like it did till yesterday rather I need to course through hard and violent waves to achieve my goals. I always had two dreams in my life, one is to join the Administrative field, and the other one is to join in the Management field. After graduated from my masters I went directly to New Delhi to prepare for UPSC civils examinations and gave examinations for two times, and it was the first time that I was completely failed to secure a seat in the examinations. Life is all about winning and losing. So, I determined to try my luck in management sector and so I studied hard and gave CAT examination in 2018. I got shortlisted for the Interview round, and I was successfully accepted in one the best new IIMs, IIM Ranchi. I was on cloud nine when I came to know that I got an offer letter from IIM Ranchi and here I am in Ranchi doing my MBA course.
