How Have I Made An Impact?
Every person has a different journey and every journey is interspersed with an unexpected challenge. With each challenge bringing something new to the table requires a new method, a new approach or an entirely new perspective. In this regard, although comparisons are not quite similar in scale, I too have faced many such challenges. The one that made the biggest impact on my life was when I moved out of my house for my first job. At that point, I found myself incapable of staying away from home for long. Even staying at a relative’s place, even for a day, would make me intensely homesick. However, I held my ground and gradually learned that my moving to Bangalore and setting up there helped me grow as an individual. It was one of the best decision that I have made so far. However, at one point difficulties seemed to pile on. Before one could get over another would pop up. For example, during my stay in Bangalore, I found it difficult to adjust to a new language. Hailing from north of India, I was initially unable to keep up with the pressure of learning a new language and consequently found it difficult to communicate with the people around. Over a period of several months, I continuously pushed myself and developed a certain degree of fluency in Kannada. This taught me that with hard work, patience, and support of friend and families I could thrive in any environment and carve a way for myself through the unknown. Every challenge is an opportunity to new learning.
