The group is into many ventures like textile, telecom, financial services, mining, fashion etc. Aditya Vikram Birla is one of the first Indians to expand business into many parts of the world. The group has operations in many countries across the world like North and South America, Africa and Asia.
I would particularly like to mention the fashion and textile sector. Based on the occasion, like function at home, party, hangouts, formal meetings in companies they offer a wide variety of clothing. The group has different brands for different occasions – Van Heusen and Allen Solly is famous for formals, Pantaloons for casual wear and so on and they sell it in independent stores across India. Pantaloons Fashion and Retail for me is a one-stop destination for clothing. It offers loads of varieties to pick from like the ones which can make me look both good and bad, typically signifying that life is a mixture of ups and downs.
Aditya Birla Group’s accommodative stance in the Fashion industry throws light on how a person should present himself during different situations. Like they have different brands for different kind of clothing, I learnt that each situation demands us to behave differently, unlike the one-size-fits-all approach. This has helped broaden my perspectives. Like Aditya Birla Group’s vision to be a global player with clear focus on each of the businesses one should invest in his interests and passion with full spirit.
