Women’s representation in corporates in India has been increasing through the years but even now if you want to explore formal apparels for women you will not find any women centric stores in the Indian market, where as most of the famous brands of formal wear have men’s formal wear stores in most of the cities. When I decided to join TAPMI I knew that I will be required to wear formal wear during the two years of my MBA. I could not find a single store dedicated solely for women’s formal wear except for VAN HUESEN. In a small city like Dehradun where one cannot find many malls, I found a formal wear store that too only for women. Van Huesen has played a big role in the beginning of my new journey. It has made me feel confident and feel good in its premium quality formal wear.

HOW I OVERCAME CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE MY AMBITIONS - TAPMI
Every person has dreams for his life, yet it can sometimes feel impossible to make them real. You might know what to do and even how to do it, but taking action requires courage, the ability to withstand fear, humiliation, and discomfort. Nothing stirs those feelings more than taking risks, which is necessary to go after your dreams.
My father has a transferrable job, which required him to work in different states of the country. Due to this I had to travel to different cities and thus join a new school in every two to three years. It might sound as fun to travel to different cities, but it sometimes gets hard too.
During the third year of my graduation I was also preparing for CAT, just before my final exams my father got transferred due to which my family had to move. As I was in college I could not move with them, but the thought of staying alone in a city without your family an be tough and when you must juggle between college, exams and preparation of a competitive exam it becomes even more difficult. It was a very challenging period of my life, but I decided to give myself a chance. With my parents support and faith in me I sailed through it all and secured admission in TAPMI. That experience has taught me a lot bust importantly having faith in oneself.
