In India, when it comes to higher education, the first thing comes into everyone’s mind is management. MBA is the most opted Post Graduation course in India in the 21st century. Though, studying MBA in India is costly still most of the engineering graduates wanted to pursue MBA after their graduation.

In my case, after working for two years in a core company as Junior Manager at JSW Steel, I feel there are still many skills which I need to learn to excel further in my life. So, I thought it is the right time to get an MBA from a reputed b-school in India. I got shortlisted and selected by many b-schools, but I choose Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar over others.

XIMB, one of the top b-schools in India, it is a very old brand and has the reputation of producing very good management graduates in industry. XIMB is known for its faculty, alumni and the diversity. It has the best faculty from every specialization and has a strong alumni base. The batch consists of 360 students from different states and different academic background. Apart from this, XIMB has a good placements records over the last 30 years. Now coming to the best part of XIMB, the relation between seniors and juniors. Here, at XIMB, I found everything to be student-centric and student-driven, which is expected to be in a B-School. When I entered the campus, I saw seniors working hard for our smooth admission and they answered to our queries related to hostel and admission process. Within the 1st week itself, we have been given many assignments, case studies and group discussions by our seniors to make us ready for anything. They share their experiences with us and guide us in always making the right choices. My journey with XIMB so far has been a smooth one, and I believe it stays smooth throughout.

Which ABG company I would want to work for?

I would like to work with Hindalco Industries Ltd. Hindalco is one of the largest Aluminium and Copper manufacturing company in India. It is one of the pioneers in metal business. As an engineer and having work experience in JSW Steel for 30 months before taking admission in XIMB, I am mostly inclined towards the operations and supply chain domain.  I firmly believe that an organization like Hindalco can provide me with enough exposure and knowledge and thereby a great career ahead.
