How can ABG not big in one’s life?

They carry one of the biggest retailers under their ambit (Pantaloons), are 2nd largest in the world of telecom (Vodafone Idea), carry the most fashionable brands (Van Heusen, Peter England) and are part of the offline retailing arm of Forever 21 in India.

Since, carrying my first sim to buying my first branded shirt, ABG was always there leaving its footprint in every aspect of my life. I still remember how much I fancied the way Pantaloons was able to bring so many brands under a single roof, especially Alto Moda (the plus size brand). ABG helped me understand the real definition of synergies in business and how being an umbrella helps in accommodating everyone. Frankly speaking, I am currently engaged and it has also helped in buying a lot of presents for my fiancé even though I am a novice when it comes to buying clothes for my better half. So, ABG not only helped me become who I am but also aiding at times, because of which I never had to worry in life, be it my mobile network, my clothes or her.

Those creative advertisements of Idea used to make me realize how much potential we carry and on the onset of the digital world, how much can we unlock ourselves to deliver the maximum in life. I still remember those ways used by the advertisements to propel the idea to save the environment or bring a change in the society which left its mark on my mind till today.

These advertisements encouraged me to believe that nothing is impossible in life and there are always ways to accommodate all and improve this world in the most creative manner. I was part of an NGO in my undergraduate program, which was aimed to provide education in a manner which would ultimately help in the holistic development of the society. In the year 2013, Idea was one of the most reliable and fastest networks which helped in our journey to be there at the top. I still remember the smiles I was able to bring on those faces by making them realize that they are not alone and we as a team are there to help them at each and every point in their life. The NGO provided the “local basti” students a platform to give a fight to the students of the best schools in competitions like Debate, Painting, and Dance, etc.

Till this day, I cherish those moments. Being standing at the stage, announcing the winners with me being in a Van Heusen white shirts giving me a sense of fulfillment, while at the same time applauding the success of these students of whose journey, Idea was a great contributor too.

I can never forget how much help the entire group had been in my career and to be told sincerely, I simply can’t imagine my life without these offerings by the group making it one of the most wanted brands for a family, with my dad draped in Grasim and me in Van Heusen offerings, I believe ABG has been with us too longer.
