ABG- Leveraging the values towards better relations - Disha Jain, MDI Gurgaon

The first tryst with Aditya Birla Group for many people has been in the most uncertain terms with immense appreciation for the brand and the products and services used and often without an inkling of the major group that houses them all. A majority of things that we touch, see or experience around us have more often than not a whiff of ABG in them. This holds true especially for me for I have had ABG around in several aspects, both explicitly and implicitly, ranging from the connectivity through Vodafone to the dressing and clothing across my family from major fashion brands like Van Heusen, Peter England, Louis Phillippe, and Pantaloons to name a few. I have particularly seen my dad dress up in all of ABG’s premium men’s wear brands since childhood. Vodafone has also been a major enabler of communication for me and my family for we have all had Vodafone connections for long. The quality of connectivity and the customer service experience have made us stick to or even move to this network. To add to my experience with ABG, I can recall the fact that when I went shopping for my formals prior to my admission in college. The entire experience of shopping at Van Heusen was extremely satisfying and the best I have had in a while. The entire sales team was at their feet and helped pick the right pieces that fit my requirements. They were also extremely warm and welcoming in their approach. Even implicitly, ABG has been around with its varied product portfolio ranging from cement to copper and even cover glass for smartphones. The values that the company holds has another major role to play in not only of goods and services it delivers but also the experiences it creates in the process since commitment, passion, integrity, and speed are some of the aspects of its customer engagement process which result in an enthralling and overwhelming customer experience.  The fact that we have had ABG as a major part of our lives knowingly or unknowingly speaks volumes of the customer centric approach the company has, while seated in the background and working towards establishing and sustaining the brand value it has created. The values of the company deeply resonate with me for I have always believed in commitment, passion and integrity. Therefore, for every challenge and struggle that I have faced, I have stayed focused and been able to work my way through things. To add to this, I am also a very patient person that allows me to objectively think, act, and react. These qualities been major enablers that have helped me work and concentrate in even the most difficult of circumstances. This has allowed me to play a major role in helping turn around the company I was associated with and helped bring about visible changes in its operational and financial efficiency. This was done through dedicated efforts at streamlining activities and starting with working towards regular maintenance of accounts and records that helped better analyze the situation at hand. This is how I feel I have made an impact in the company I was associated with.
