Castle on the Hill
Life is a circle and so is the IIM Indore campus, be it the magnificent semi-circular arches or the circle shaped academic block. Truly mesmerizing scenic beauty and larger than life campus, IIMI is a different space altogether, hence commonly referred to as Planet-I by students. Right from the entrance gate, you witness a splendid architecture. The classes are beautifully decorated with Tribal Art, often between boring lectures, one can appreciate the beautiful and lively paintings in the classroom. Heaven for Movie Buffs
Every Sunday recent Bollywood releases are projected in the auditorium, which has a huge screen and seating space for 1200 people and is a place which every person in the campus looks forward to be in. It is open and free for the entire IIM I community. Imagine watching all your favourite Bollywood movies with your friends on each Sunday that too free!
All three levels exist in harmony
There are three levels on the hill where the life at IIMI exists, the lowest or ground 0 where the hostels and sports complex are situated. Level 1 where Mess and all food joints along with a few more hostels and finally the top where the Academic block is situated. These are referred to by students as Patal lok , Prithvi lok, swarg lok. So this is one of the few places where you can swiftly travel from earth to heaven and back.
IIM Indore Community
What makes any place special is its people, and the students here are very proactive and the student community plays an active role in running any aspect of college. We have a Pi shop run by Merchand-I club where you can find groceries. The entire community comes together to celebrate all the festivals. The batch is more diverse as compared to any other MBA college since there are courses other than MBA like IPM and FPM. Indore has multiple fests like Atharva, Ranbhoomi, IRIS, Utsaha organized by PGP and IPM batch, so the campus opens its doors to students from all parts of the country at regular intervals.
Taking a tour around the campus is an eye-pleasing and soul soothing activity, it is a beautiful campus both in soul (people at IIMI) and spirit (Infrastructure).
Which Company at ABG Group?
The Culture at ABFRL commonly referred to as Madurism, which I got to know through my friends is very unique. Each brand speaks a story about itself. It is impressive to see how the company has managed to turn around from being unprofitable to the market leader in the Apparel Industry. It has brought Stellar brands like American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, Forever 21 to India. It would be a great opportunity to learn the Retail business from the Market leader. Right from manufacturing to selling garments it has everything covered under its umbrella, so if given a chance I would choose ABFRL to work with as it has a lot of my favourite brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England
