Within about 20 days of joining the campus of XAHR, XUB, Bhubaneswar I am pretty much certain about how the life is going to be here. Starting the day with the rude alarm ring to shutting down the day with almost sleepless nights everyday, we as a group of students living the dream MBA life despite of the suffocating schedule.
The campus being located at the outskirts of the ‘Temple City of India’, Bhubaneswar, enjoys its share of greenery. The lush green fields that surrounds the campus adds serenity and provides respite from the unforgiving hot and humid weather.
Campus in the lap of nature is what one aspires to study in. The Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XAHR) owes its origin to XIMB’s HR specialization program. It continues the legacy of shaping HR professionals since 1987. What makes up for all the jitters after sitting for entrances and interviews, the nail-biting wait for results is the materialization of admission in your dream college. What makes my campus unique is the culture. One week in the campus, and the sleep cycle changes. We got used to sleeping for 4 hours every day! The lush green lawns along which students stroll in the late hours, the scenic beauty of the campus itself is a great experience. Also, the beautiful sunset over the Chapel adds to the essence of the campus. The values of this renown institute are driven by the force of Magis. The mess full of students sitting with their laptops is not a rare sight, even at 4 am. PM Modi's digitization is also inculcated in the campus through the introduction of mess cards! The teaching pedagogy and the diverse culture is what makes this institute stand out from the league.
My graduation was a 5-year course at Symbiosis Law School, which in that period had its campus in the center of the city of Pune. The trade-off for having classes in the city-center the lack of a spacious campus. While I enjoyed my time at SLS immensely, towards the end of my time there, I felt I had missed out on a ‘campus life’.

A few years ago, after the completion of my graduation, my father advised me to do MBA but I was adamant about taking up a job. After joining the organization, I developed an interest in the area of Human resources (Not particularly MBA). By the end of the year 2017, I started my preparations for MBA entrance examinations and after months of hard work, found myself attending the GD-PI process.
I am a student of Xavier School of Human Resource (XAHR). Xavier’s is a legacy, the name Xavier’s has deep roots in many noble aspects of development, one of them being Education. Being from a convent school, I have had a chance of being part of the loving culture the Missionaries in India have created.
On 19th June 2018, I received a mail from XAHR stating that I had been shortlisted for the HRM program. Prior to that I had given up all hopes and was preparing myself to get a job from somewhere and starting my preparations for the entrance exams yet again. The assignments and deadlines were very scary and rough for me at the beginning but after a while, I kind of got used to them. The best classroom experience I had, happened in a 3hour special Introduction to HRM class where our mam took a surprise assignment test. We had to form groups of 8 with almost all students being from varying backgrounds having different experiences thus making each group diverse in all possible ways.
