IIM Udaipur, an institute in the city of lakes, amidst the mountains, in the valley! This itself sets the institute apart from all other conventional educational institutes in our nation. With the picturesque backdrop of the mountains, IIM Udaipur gives us just the right amount of rigor as well as peace in our lives. One of my favorite places on the campus is “The Curved Road” as we call it. A place I go to, to just enjoy the breeze kiss my face! Away from all the worries of assignments and quizzes, this is my hideout to enjoy the tranquillity and some peace of mind.

Way before I had any idea of what I wanted to do with my career, I had come to Shillong for a family trip and I had passed by IIM Shillong looking at the beautiful campus from outside and thinking what it would feel like to study somewhere so beautiful. The locals here at Shillong, talk about the campus with reverence and respect and that gave me the feeling that the institute played an important role in the community here. In The Lap Of Himachal - IIM Sirmaur

Sitting in the lap of Himachal, wrapped with the lush green mountains and backed by the river Yamuna is the beautiful, peaceful and soothing campus of the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur. A typical morning here starts not with the deafening horns of the heavy vehicles running on the city roads and scream of the chimneys of the factories around, but with the chirping of the birds, announcing the arrival of the first sunrays of the day which may strike right at your face if you’re lucky enough to get a hostel room facing the east. The mountain-fresh air becomes your natural source of energy and you suddenly realize that you’ve brought peace to your lungs at least for the next two years of your life. The monsoons add to the scenic beauty of the place. The rains take the beauty of the campus to a different dimension altogether. The rains tempt you to leave your rooms and dance to celebrate the rains. The beauty of nature around doesn’t stop with the rains. You forget to blink when you see the clouds flowing through the mountains silently and slowly. And you realize that your college doesn’t look any less than a hill station. The cherry on the cake is that you’re going to stay here for a long period of time with your friends, a lot of good friends. To cool off, you needn’t go to the bars and the pubs, but there are soothing and entertaining destinations like Rishikesh and Mussoorie. For the people who long for spiritual peace, there is a whole of Himachal and Uttarakhand where you get world famous treks, mountain peaks, monasteries and what not.
