I always considered teaching as a great profession. I am always passionate about teaching, here I am welcomed by a different faculty. My father is always a role model in teaching for me. When I came here, I found someone with unique teaching skill, Professor Nikhil Mehta, a faculty in department of Business Communication.
I am very proud to be part of National Institute of Institute Engineering, Mumbai popularly known as NITIE. We as NITIEzen are exploring well organized campus in the heart of the Financial capital of India Mumbai. Just after entering main gate of NITIE we see sky touching building popularly known as Taylor hall. In NITIE each and every building have the name of the scientist who has given various theories to Industrial Engineering e.g. Taylor, Gilbreth. NITIE is having its own pond popularly known as NITIE pond here we always find ducks swimming and playing around the pond. Sunset at NITIE pond is most memorizing scenery in my life. Clicking photos of sunset, ducks, coconut trees and Taylor hall from the pond gives an amazing feeling. Walking around NITIE pond gives relax, stress relieving feeling. From our childhood, we are used to having pets like Cats, dogs but in NITIE we accidentally found various types of snakes. There are highly enthusiastic, trained the snake rescuer team who always used to take the snakes and send back to the forest. In NITIE we used to climb 96 steps daily which is popularly called as 96 steps of success, on the other hand, it gives an ample amount of exercise. On the other hand, talking about academic interest, we are having an academic library which provides an ample amount of book, journals, audio/video contents in the field of industrial engineering and other specialization.
About a month ago when results of NITIE was published I came to know NITIE’s campus is called God’s own campus. I felt that it was an exaggeration and as a Madarasi, I felt IIT Madras’ campus was the best and though no campus can beat it. But thanks to my bad luck I was proven wrong when I saw NITIE’s campus and its indeed God’s Own Campus.
National Institute of Industrial Engineering was established in the year 1963 with the motive of turning world class engineers into business class managers. Located in Mumbai we have distinctive features of the campus:
Although every day at NITIE is one kind of a memory, it was something unexpected on the first day of my class. We went for the lectures as per the given schedule, in the morning. After waiting for few minutes, a gentleman came into our class wearing a Nehru cap and a big positive smile. He is carrying a Jute bag on his shoulder, which has several interesting things in it apart from any assignment or laptop. He was Professor Mandi. When my eyes went down I was surprised to see him barefoot. Despite the cliché wishes, he wants students to start the session with a big round of applause for yourself. Although in the first instance, all these things seem humorous but everything he does have some learning behind it.

I adore simplicity. And nature is working every moment to make things simpler. Balance is the key to simplify lives, processes and events.
