In 2010-11, there were as many as 6 new IIMs which introduced themselves to the world. Most of them had one thing in common - a temporary campus and a plan of a permanent one. At IIM Raipur, I personally feel fortunate to be part of a batch which will experience both of the campuses in their PGP tenure.

Situated at the heart of Chhattisgarh lies one of the most prestigious institutes of the country “Indian Institute of Management, Raipur”. The college began its journey in the year 2010 by the Government of India on the outskirts of the city Raipur in a place called Sejbahar. In a span of 8 years, IIM Raipur has developed exponentially and has made a mark in the country’s list of premiere Business Schools despite having certain limitations such infrastructure and location.

IIM Raipur Makes It Possible
“There is no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love, there is an only scarcity of resolve to make it happen”. These lines by the great American psychologist Mr.Wayne Dyre are the ones which IIM Raipur lives by. It is true that IIM Raipur is only an eight-year-old kid in the world of business. But the kid is sure a genius and has got a mesmerizing sparkle in those big eyes.

Not too long ago, 6 new IIMs were founded with a view to providing quality management education to a greater number of aspiring candidates across India. Today, all 6 of them have carved a niche for themselves and are competing with one another for a tag of best new IIM. As a prospective candidate, making an informed decision on which one would be the best fit for me required to understand what each of these institutes stands for. The value proposition and scope of personal and professional growth was the basis for my decision to join IIM Raipur. We have a simple mission to nurture excellence and promote leaders capable of managing resources in a globalized environment, with social responsibility.

9 Committees And 13 Clubs - IIM Raipur
It all started when I began my preparation for pursuing an MBA, I was told about the nobility of the IIMs the type of courses they offer and the type of luxury life you lead after passing from an IIM. I then tried to know about the IIMs and the different type of courses they offer coming across these IIMs, I found Raipur bit different in their selection criteria which helps students from different backgrounds come and try to compete with each other to fulfil the future endeavours of the individual which brings more insights to see a particular situation. Every student has a different mindset and different prospects to give a decision. Unlike other IIMs IIM Raipur have the best international exposure and also send and allow students to learn from other member institutions. I chose IIM RAIPUR because it is very well recognised within the new IIMs and also because of the courses they offer and the faculties who are present to guide us throughout the process. Here we have 9 different kind of committees and 13 kind of clubs each of them has a different kind of goal to achieve which helps IIM Raipur to participate in every sector. I choose Raipur because of its location. I am very fortunate for converting my dream college IIM RAIPUR for me it’s an overnight journey which enables that I not going waste much of time travelling here it’s an all in one campus so I can approach my seniors more often for seeking any sort of help. Its hostel facility is unique because it denies that there should be a big setup for big results with the availability of limited resources students of IIM RAIPUR proved that big results don’t require large resources or infrastructures. Even if the academic block and the hostel are in the same building it manages to carry on the activities simultaneously without being interrupted. which itself teaches to be perfectly coordinate with every situation. This is what makes me think IIM RAIPUR is unique than any other IIMs.

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur was set up in the year 2010 by the Government of India. It was inaugurated by Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on 11 October 2010. It is located on the outskirts of the city of Raipur in a place known as Sejbahar.

Becoming Future Ready With IIM Raipur
Jan 8, 2018, was one of the happiest days of my life, it was on that day IIM Lucknow declared the result of CAT 2017, I was able to secure a CAT Score which was good enough for calls from many of the IIMs, not having applied to any other MBA entrance test it was relieving to know that I don’t have to go through CAT preparation again if I am converting any of the calls from IIMs, “if I’m converting”
