The urban unemployment rate had more than doubled to 20.9% in the period April-June 2020 from the 9.1% in the corresponding quarter in 2019, data released by the government showed. Young workers upto the age of 29 years were particularly more susceptible as urban unemployment in this age group was 34.7%!
