The Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya successfully conducted its annual HR-Conclave ‘Gyanodaya 3.0’ on 27th November, 2021. The conclave provided a platform for the future leaders to interact with business experts and acquire valuable insights from their experiences and expertise and be ready for the corporate world. The event shed light on the evolution of the HR domain over the period of time. Keeping in view of the pandemic situation, the event was conducted in virtual mode.

We all are aware of the academic rigor and the career opportunities that IIMs present. IIM Shillong is no different than the league. We know that it has been a stellar performer with the brilliant achievements of its students, but little do we get to know about what happens once we enter the institute. With this article, we’d like to share a glimpse of what happens within the IIM Shillong family, once you are a part of it.

After months of preparation, gruelling interviews, we finally land up in a B-School. We listen to a lot of stories about what it is like to be in a B-school. If you won’t end up in a good club/committee, your life at B-school won’t be good. If you don’t get your dream company here, you will never be able to get it. If you end up in some domain you never wanted, you might never be able to go back & change your way. Amidst all these what-ifs, there are students who have come here just to find their own ways, just to see what they wanted in their life. Some are here at B-school because they didn’t like their first job, and looking for what they want to do next. If I tell you honestly, 90% of students who come here are lost, trying to find themselves, looking for ways to compete, because surviving in a B-school is not as glossy as it looks.
