Projects. Prospects. Progress. - SPJIMR Mumbai
An MBA education aims to pack a lot of punch in a relatively short span of 2 years. Therefore, every activity comes with the claim of being consequential. Amidst the various commitments, constant pressure and perpetual deadlines, the students always look for activities that make the hard work and the intense involvement worth it. The Projects Live Committee is committed to giving us those opportunities.
Mural Painting - An Enriching Experience At SPJIMR
If someone had told me that during B-school, I would be buckets of water mixed with paint, have paint smeared over my face and given credits for painting whatever I wanted, I would have probably found that incredulous. During the mural painting exercise at SPJIMR not only did I play with colours but also made a few very close friends along the way. Over the course of the last 5 months SP Jain has time and again proved that education is not only about rot knowledge from books or marks in the examination but a holistic development of the individual. This was one of the instances. Mural painting with my friend Santosh was a part of the Abhyudaya program, a non-classroom learning initiative of SPJIMR.
Dream Big, Design Quick! - Design Thinking Course At SPJIMR Mumbai
Introduced as a first, for the batch of PGDM 2016-18, the design thinking committee is envisioned to serve as a platform where students not only learn administration through practice but simultaneously contribute towards improving the campus experience, for both the staff and the students, via creating and implementing frugal and effective changes which are outcomes of extensive design processes. Given that SPJIMR was one of the first b-schools in the country to introduce Design Thinking (DT) courses across all programmes, it was only a matter of time before the institute introduced design thinking into everyday lives of students beyond the classroom. According to Prof. Suranjan Das, who is currently heading the DT committee, “Design Thinking not only gives one an edge in the corporate world but positively impacts all aspects of life, both personal and professional”. This initiative, thus, prepares the students for corporate challenges of the future by allowing them to see, first-hand, the effectiveness of DT processes in their own lives at SPJIMR. At the inception of the idea “The brief was to pick up anything related to the Bhavan’s campus and think of something which could be useful to the institute. Think of the infra issues, the services, canteen / dhobi services, communication, and look at what benefits can accrue to the institute, and go through the process and then prototype”, explains Prof. Das.
Academic Development And Cross Program Integration Committee - SPJIMR
With 17 motivated minds and four erudite mentors, the Academic Development and Cross Program Integration Committee (ADPIC) was formed with the aim of integrating different programmes within SPJIMR for the first time. Our objective is to bring synergy in our institution by promoting the exchange of knowledge not only across different specialisations within PGDM but also across different programmes. Along with integration of specialisations and programmes, ADPIC as a committee also aims to promote “Thought leadership” and spread awareness among students about “Human Resource policies and Consulting industry”.
Where CEOs Of Today Meet The CEOs Of Future - CIIC - SPJIMR Mumbai
We, at CEO and Industry Integration Committee (CIIC), are a student-driven committee of SPJIMR working with the aim to keep students connected to the industry during their academic period. In line with our motto, “Integrate, Learn, Grow”, we work towards both, bringing the industry to the campus and at the same time taking the students to the industry, for exposure to real world scenarios, learning wider perspectives and growing multi-dimensionally.
Student Clubs - MISB Bocconi
MISB Bocconi isn’t just about 9-4 classes and guest lectures. We have 6 extremely active and well performing clubs where students learn and practise the field of their choice through various theoretical and practical opportunities presented by the clubs themselves. Here’s what the current members of the six clubs have to say about each:
