So I’m a senior now. Like many of you will be – right now or in another 11 months. We managed to make it to second year; along the way some made their ancestors proud whereas some barely scraped through. And there have been a few who weren’t as fortunate.
Indian Institute of Management Udaipur held the registration and commencement session of the fourth batch of its flagship PGP Programme for the Class of 2014-16. A total of 116 students registered in the new batch comprising of a diverse mix of students from different academic backgrounds and work experiences.
IIM Lucknow welcomes the new batch of the post-graduate program in style. The 30th batch of PGP entered the gates of IIM Lucknow with a population of diverse background from lawyers to musicians to cricketers to pharmacists to dentists… and a smile on each of their faces.
After having spent an year in b-school and seeing our seniors pass out, all of us do have a fair idea of what to expect in the second year, or atleast that is what we like to believe. Here is my perspective on how I see the second year unfolding. Following is what I expect:
Every year, on 14th June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. This year this auspicious day bought some very proud moments for ECoBiZ Club of IIM Shillong. In an event organized to observe World Blood Donation Day this year, which was organized by Meghalaya AIDS Control Society, Meghalaya State Blood Transfusion Council in collaboration with Meghalaya Legislative Forum on HIV/AIDS and Licensed Blood Banks, East Khasi Hills District, the ECoBiZ Club of IIM Shillong was felicitated for its continuous and dedicated efforts towards encouraging voluntary blood donation and spreading awareness about the same.
It has been one year into MBA and the journey has been amazing. It feels as if we have always belonged here. MBA is in our talks, on our social network and in our thoughts. As I look back, I find a lot of learnings which I have tried to list below.
“Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast, hameenasto hameenasto hameenast”
It was hyped as Asia’s largest college festival. During those days, IIT Bombay becomes the place where the World wants to be for the best four days of their lives. And finally, as a first year MBA student of Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, I got a chance to witness this extravaganza. Reached campus on the morning of 20th December in the middle of a semester break because it was time for Mood Indigo 2013!
