Having seen the locations, companies and functions for the non-IIM top MBA Alumni in the earlier report - (The non-IIM Top MBA Alumni Report 2014 - Locations, Companies and Functions), we now move on to the second part - Alumni presence in top FMCG, Tech, Telecom and E-Commerce firms.

A few days ago I went for a play. It was a very well done comedy, the storyline simple but well-crafted, the writing fluid, the punchlines suitably placed and the acting accomplished; all-in-all a hilarious rib-tickler.
“Getting things done” is the underlying philosophy of SPJIMR’s flagship academic programme- ADMAP (Assessment and Development of Managerial and Administrative Potential). The unique programme provides the students with an immense learning opportunity where they are divided into 25 communities each of which handle a different aspect of everyday functioning in the college. The Public Relations Committee in this relation stands apart from the other committees because its prime responsibility is to uphold the “Brand SPJIMR” and to engage all stakeholders- internal (students, faculty) and external (alumni, recruiters, industry) creating a synergy with them at all levels.
The second best thing that has ever happened to me over these 25 years was the prestigious IIM offering its coveted ticket to the 2-year MBA course. Well now don’t ask me what was the first best thing. It is personal and more so not to this target audience. While the feeling is still sinking in, a year has got over and lot of people, places, parties, pots, pretties, posters et al have passed. Yeah not just 4 p’s. This last one year journey at IIM has been fantastic up till now and so many memories. When the world itself is going into the archival mode by archiving documents, videos and even tweets, I have also decided to do something at least during this fag end of internship.
Every year engineers form the biggest chunk of students who come into any b-school. They have a distinct lifestyle that everyone from that cohort relates to very easily. The b-school life on the other hand is drastically different and this makes the initial few days in b-school extremely difficult to adjust. Here’s my list of 10 differences that will help you understand what to expect in your new life. 1. The Busy life: Think of the busiest day in you engineering. The day you had to submit assignments, take a quiz and attend 4 lectures……….yes that!! Now, this is your typical day in a b-school.
