“It’s a thankless job!”, When you start something with such a statement you know, it is going to be interesting. These were the first words that our senior PR team told us when we were inducted into the Public Relations Cell of the institute. I did not understand what they meant then, I am not sure even now.
It had been a long day at office. These late night board meetings were becoming a regular thing. It was pouring, and all he could think about, was the teleconference he had to attend to at midnight. An hour to get home, 10 minutes to freshen up, 10 minutes to settle down and dinner if he’s still left with time. The watch read 10:30 PM, and the rain was 10 minutes from becoming his nemesis. Every campus has something unique to offer its students, but what makes the difference truly valuable is how much it enhances the b-school experience of students.
If a person ever visits the IIM Udaipur campus, he may be left wondering - Are IIM campuses like this? And the person cannot be blamed at all for having such thoughts. So, let us see what makes the IIM Udaipur campus unique.
A person sees what he likes to see, explore the areas which he likes to explore. As an environment enthusiast, I like to see sustainability practices applied at different places or what other practices can be implemented. As a result, my first area of observation about the campus was about how sustainable and green my campus is. To my surprise, I realise my campus is very sustainable. I would like to explain that with a few examples.
