This section is said to be a stronghold of engineers but was hardly so for me. Although I could solve some sets in an untimed environment, the one-hour timer during a mock was my worst enemy.
My name is Vaibhav Mangla and I hail from a small town of Haryana. I completed my 10th and 12th from CBSE and graduated in B.Sc. Life sciences from Ramjas College (Delhi University). After graduation, I worked in the sales department at a retail jewellery showroom based in my hometown Palwal. I converted IIM Kozhikode in my second attempt. Sharing how I prepared for CAT, and my advice to you on CAT preparation!
Shefali completed her Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Administration from Amity University Noida in June 2018 with a First Division with Distinction. During her college, she was an active student who was involved in cultural activities since she is a trained Kathak dancer. She was also involved throughout in her corporate extracurricular activities wherein she participated in various events related to the Travel & Hospitality industry. Post college, she worked as a Travel Consultant for 9 months in Delhi Tours and Travels. After which she switched to Doordarshan Sports where she is currently working in the Social Media team and is also an anchor for a few shows on different Doordarshan channels.
A year ago, before joining MDI Gurgaon, I was one of the CAT aspirants among lakhs who had the same feeling of uncertainty as anyone else. Straight after engineering, I decided to take a year gap to prepare for CAT 2018 with complete rigour. To put things into perspective, CAT 2018 was my second attempt and I had scored 90.7% OA in CAT 2017.
I was born and brought up in the city of Lakes, Bhopal where I completed my boards and graduation in Mechanical engineering from LNCT. Currently, I am working with Cognizant as an Associate for the FinTech sector in the City of Nizams, Hyderabad.
Dreams can take you anywhere. All you need to do is to learn from your failures, stay motivated and remember that one goal you have been working hard since the very first day. Today we bring to you a story of a person who never settled for less, who knew that he had in himself to make it to the best B-school in the country, who took each failure as a stepping stone to success and how the success of his twin brother (Scoring 99+%ile) made him stronger than ever to achieve this feat. My name is Aditya Prakash. I completed Xth and XIIth from CBSE with scores of 10.0 and 92.8% respectively. I studied Civil Engineering at NIT Trichy and secured a CGPA of 8.50. For the past 3 years, I have been working as a Business Analyst designing software products for the Infrastructure industry. I scored 180.45 in CAT 2019 and was placed at 99.73%ile Preparation – Self-study Vs. Coaching
I am Ratula Bandyopadhyay, and I am an English Literature graduate from Presidency University, Kolkata, West Bengal (yes, Nobel Laureate Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee did go to our college!). B-school result season is here, and I belong among those who the universe conspired in support of, even in this frightening time of the pandemic. I recently received my final admission letter from the Indian Institute of Management(IIM), Kozhikode.
