I write today about a very interesting experience I have had the pleasure of living a few months ago. It led to moments of surprise, joy, excitement as well as confusion and frustration.
A commonly asked question among CAT aspirants is that how do we make ourselves ready for the verbal section. The answer to this question has been answered by many people, aspirants, converts, etc. Sure the answer is practice. If you practice more, you falter more, you analyse more and you improve eventually. There is one more way that could speed up the process i.e. to improve your vocabulary.
Firstly, my intro or profile as they say in the MBA and CAT lingo, Mechanical engineer working for Reliance Industries Limited at Shahdol (a place hardly anyone would have heard of), Madhya Pradesh with acads being 88/90/82 (10th/12th/Graduation) and a work ex of 32 months.

With CAT 2018 just a few months away what shall you do now to score well in the exam? Searching here and there will fetch you fragmented suggestions but this article aims to provide a holistic approach to crack CAT. You will come across multiple blogs which will though share some ideal steps to prepare but will be difficult to follow because there is so much to do in so less time. At this point, it is very important to utilize your time effectively, spend your time in the right direction and define your priorities.

The cold morning breeze coming in through my window along with the shimmers of dawn, ushered in the day I've been waiting for nearly a year. It was time to bell the CAT! With all the confidence I had gained by scoring consistently well in my mocks, I looked forward to a helluva performance.
