From Statistics Major To An MBA | Sweety's Journey To IIM Calcutta

When a girl steps out from a small, non-recognizable district to shape her future, she doesn't only carry the weight of her career's success and fright of future failure on her shoulders, but a lot more. The tracks she lays down have to be paved such that every girl from that place can refer to it when she pleads her parents for higher studies. Today I am an IIM Calcutta student, but this is not all I have in mind. I cracked it in the first attempt, but trust me, I have made my mistakes, learned from them, and am proud to share my journey, little by little, with all of you, so hop on.

My Journey From A Hospital Bed To IIM Lucknow, Ft. Manavdeep S, CAT 99%iler

For Manavdeep Singh (currently a student of IIM Lucknow), the initial part of his life was full of highs. He was an academically successful person who did his Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University. He even got a PPO from Tata Motors. Manavdeep loved riding motorcycles, so when the opportunity in Honda opened up, he took it without hesitation. However, during a bike test, the brakes malfunctioned and he met with an accident. Everything started spiraling out of control from thereon. He had to be hospitalized, it was there when he decided to sit for the CAT exam. Despite being unable to sit up straight and study properly, he managed to score a 99%ile and was able to score a seat in IIM Lucknow. He even bagged a PPO in Amazon and will join the company in 2021.

CAT Made Easy: Tips To Crack The Exam

Hello, I am Sagar Vazirani, a management graduate from Symbiosis, Pune. I scored 97+ percentile in CAT 2019 which was my third attempt. I got calls from MDI, XLRI (HRM), IIM Shillong, CAP IIMs, IMT, IMI, IIT Madras, NMIMS and I converted MDI, CAP IIMs, IMT, IMI, IIT and NMIMS and have finally decided to join MDI-Gurgaon. The journey was not easy and had its own ups and downs. From getting a negative score in DI LR & QA in my first few mocks to getting a good percentile on the D-Day, the only thing that kept me going was the dream to get into a top B-school.
