Sustainability - The lesser known side
Aditya Birla Group has always been one fascinating global conglomerate which gives importance to environmental sustainability along with their corporate goals. It was sometime back that my sister and I came across Liva during shopping. Apart from the stylish and smooth fabric they offered, the salesperson explained to us about how eco-friendly the fabric was. We objected to the idea in light of our knowledge on cotton which has widely been in use for a very long time. However, the salesperson told us that Liva is made using fibers from the wood pulp of trees that are grown explicitly for this purpose. Another exciting fact was that these trees occupy less land and consume less water compared to cotton. Interested in the idea, I researched what we came to know of Liva products, once home. I was amused by the idea of giving back more than what is taken and Viscose Staple Fibre was just one thoughtful innovation that aided this motive. My sister was also encouraged to purchase Liva after we got to know about the advantages to the environment that came alongside with the trendy designs. In fact, this is just the tip of the iceberg and ABG’s efforts towards sustainability are much deeper than just this innovation. The contribution of Ultra Tech towards energy conservation and water saving and the sustainable operational excellence strategy of Birla Carbon are few of the examples. At this point where environment and thereby mankind is largely being subjected to the threats about the future, it’s highly inspirational that ABG never compromises on this aspect but instead upholds innovation to support the same. It’s not a corporate story we get to hear every day, cheers to the team.

Aditya Birla group plays a big role in my life. Since childhood, this one of the few companies which stood with us in both good and bad times. Being from a small town called Chandausi, I have learned to appreciate both small and big things in my life. Aditya Birla Group is a company that people don’t notice in day to day life but has a huge impact everywhere. This company has contributed to the growth of the country.

I remember the last time I went shopping clothes for an upcoming interview and thought of ways to encapsulate and project the perfect version of myself. Apart from preparing perfectly, I had wanted to put forth a visual identity that talked about my smartness - even before I were given a chance to speak. After all, the first impressions (though incorrect), do help in creating a perfect bias. Since, the interview mattered to me, I settled in not less than a Van Heusen blazer and if not that an Allen Solly shirt. This craving is killing for most of us. But have you ever wondered who caters to this need of ours to look perfect whether for a coveted job interview or the one that saves us from the hassle of going from one shop to another in order to secure a range of business formals for all the client meetings after we successfully ace that interview? It is all or mostly from the fashion line of the ABG.
