Why is ABG big in your life? There is no argument about food clothing and shelter being the basic necessities of mankind. To add to it, we modern humans consider our cellphone and internet to be added to this list as well. Well, why is ABG big in my life. Simple it related to my every basic necessity, be it Pantaloons (apparels) or Ultratech cement (shelter), Vodafone-idea(internet ).ABG has been my “sathi” throughout my walk of life be it UltraTech cement, Equity funds, Insurance, etc.Well, to start with, the age wherein I understood and gained senses ,I remember my Grandparents using Ultratech Cement to build new house in the village .As I grew up into a teenager , the next thing that caught my attention is the clothing . The number of variety and fashionable apparels available at Pantaloons made each birthday wear special. Next to apparels, is my ardent love for the internet. I have been a user of both Idea and Vodafone. As a teen, I always looked forward to Ads which concluded with" IDEA JO BADAL DE AAPKI DUNIYA”. It was so because it created a special awareness amongst people with respect to the socio-economic conditions of the society. To add to it from college freshers to my first interview, ABG had given me all of it, to step into the adult world with confidence through brands like Allen Solly etc. It was not only part of my life but also my family. It took care of our heath by providing various insurance and healthcare and pharmaceutical care through Sun Pharma and insurancesABG has always been there for most of the Indians, trying to make life a much better to live.

RECOVERY

Every person on this planet has to face both physical and psychological atrocities. Each person goes through the experiences which take a striking toll on health. Having faced a similar situation, repercussions of which were drastic loss of 10kg weight in 2 months, I came back to being able to continue life in normality. Various factors played in my recovery. My parents’ , friends’ support and also a sense of responsibility of taking the charge of ones’s own life that pushed me work on my skills and discipline. YouTube in capacity of a platform for influencers also played a major role.   Shwthabh Ganwar (Channel – Mensutra, Men ki Baat), Gaurav Taneja (Channel – Flying Beast) are two people I would say pulled me out the most. Shetabh Ganwar being a psychologist himself is like a big brother to the youth of India (16-25 age group viewing YouTube on a regular basis), delivering to the point and unequivocal opinions. Gaurav Taneja is an IITian turned pilot cum vlogger, who’s story in itself is inspiring. He tells us in his daily vlogs the everyday things happenings in his personal and professional life. This leads me to conclude that, that one much needed push required in anyone’s life to create all the difference can come in any form .

Not a name required to be introduced or be reminded about, still it’s almost contradictory that Aditya Birla Group is not a common name in every household. Reason being it is mostly represented by the brands it has so fabulously achieved in marketing successfully. For me ABG represents the three basic area unavoidably most crucial in any student’s life, viz. clothing, food and telecom. Allen Solly, Skult, People for casuals; Van Heusen, Peter England for business casuals and formals; Delice’s wide range of ready to eat line when I’m on a holiday in Thailand, and lastly Vodafone Idea for my chit-chat; feeling something-something hello honey -bunny needs. Though ABG is now looked upon on context of materialism and wide variety of product availability, one cannot forget the contribution of Birla family in being an accessary in building values for the future generations of India and bringing the indigenous products at par in quality with any other foreign counterpart. Thereby re-enforcing the idea behind ‘Self Sufficient India’ imagined by Gandhiji. To summarize , ABG has influenced me in both direct and indirect ways in creating an environment of convienence (Various brands under ABG umbrella) as well as inspiring me through its crucial part in India’s history.
