From 7 through 27

I visited Pantaloons for the first time when I was only 7 years old. I still recall buying the Gini & Jony denims and t-shirts at the store. Though I have grown up and various facets of my life have changed, one thing that remains constant are my shopping habits. Technically, one could call me the loyal customer. “Come at me with thy campaigns, I shall not budge or discard the Pantaloons Green Card from my wallet”. From the first shirt I bought for my first job to the suit I bought for my convocation, I got them all from Pantaloons.

Aditya Birla Group - PEOPLE

Aditya Birla Group - PEOPLE

The name itself makes you feel closeness associated with it. Aditya Birla Group with this brand has become an integral part of my life when it comes to shopping.  Unlike other brands, ABG’s brand PEOPLE has made shopping easier and quicker. Being a shopaholic, I end up spending too much but this brand always made sure that I receive equal satisfaction and happiness from it. Since my graduation days, this brand has been my ‘go to’ store for all purposes as it is pocket-friendly. Their wide range of collection, vibrant colors, and the latest style is what attracts me the most. Another important aspect for me while shopping is the service provided which is amazing at this store and hence makes me always buy more than what I had planned. Not just this brand but the entire apparel section has a great collection of brands and has always been a great contributor to our lives.

Learnings of my Life..

Learnings of my Life..

As a student all of us face a lot of challenges, problems, and difficulties in our lives. All our efforts are made to improve our own life and its standard of living. Every day we strive to be better and to improve. In a students life, competition is the biggest obstacle. Healthy challenges give us motivation to perform to the best of our ability and to remember to give our best. Our success speaks for our efforts and sincerity. I cracked a scholarship at the age of 12 due to my gusto to give out the best I can. As a teenager I ended up getting a chance to go on an exchange and represent my country as its sole ambassador and be confident and face my challenges all alone. It takes something extra to get things done and to face difficulties single handedly. It is a must to be a leader who believes in self. As a sports captain of my school, or class representative in college for consecutively three years in graduation, or as a representative at various levels and competitions, I have learnt to be calm in the face of a sour situation. Facing the storm head on has helped me to overcome my weaknesses and to come out victorious on all platform and at the same take my team as a whole, forward together to achieve common objectives and goals. And a lesson to learn is that never stop learning. Learning may come in different types be it education, knowledge, others experiences or the fact that you learn and better yourself from your own failures. Each person has their own strengths that we as leaders need to nurture. My life has taught me all these valuable learning that will stay with me forever and that continue to motivate me to do better and better and strive to excel in all that I do.

A challenge in my life that I overcame

A challenge in my life that I overcame

Since childhood I wasn't good at studies. Being the elder sibling I was always assumed to set an example. We lived in a joint family where most of my cousins were of my age. So I had to constantly go through comparison with my cousins. No matter how hard I tried I just wasn't able to cope up with all of them. I had developed an inferiority complex within myself that may be I wasn't good enough. My performance began to deteriorate in all walks of life.

I have never stayed in a city for more than 2-3 years. My hardworking father, being in the textile industry, was constantly changing jobs and cities and as a family were suffering because of that. Because of this. I used to change schools frequently and consequently, my friends and the whole environment keep on changing too. My parents realised that this was taking a toll on my brother and me so we decided to shift to Jaipur in 2008. This was a well-thought decision by my parents so that we can have uninterrupted good schooling. For this, my mom decided to stay away from my dad for around four years, and I couldn't thank her enough for this. The sacrifice they have made and hardships they have gone through so that their children can have proper schooling in the prime years is something that I will never forget.
