Be it building homes and dreams for 100 + crore Indians through its Ultratech cement brand, connecting people and bringing them closer through its extensive telecom network services (Vodafone Idea Ltd.), to making India fashionable and trendy by bringing brands like Grasim, Forever 21, American Eagle to us. The conglomerate has been powering the nation’s development and growth by being a key player in the industrial and manufacturing sector through Hindalco, DHIL etc. Its contribution as a leading financial services provider through the Aditya Birla Capital has also been significant. The group has maintained a legacy of achieving global and national leadership in several businesses since its inception. It’s motto and vision of ‘Taking India to the world’ is something that resonates deeply with me and also with most fellow Indians. In that sense then, the Aditya Birla Group is certainly #BigInMyLife.

Aditya Birla Group founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla is India’s third biggest private conglomerate. The group is vastly diversified in various sectors such as non-ferrous metals, cement, fashion, textile, financial services, etc. The story I present here is about Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance. I have had previous experience while buying an insurance scheme for myself and it was such a hassle. So in early 2019, when I was looking for health insurance for my mother, I knew it was going to be a challenge and you cannot avoid it either cause when it comes to securing your life you want the best product. Plus my mother is diabetic. I checked almost 5-6 insurance schemes but it was difficult to get the right match. Even though there are many companies with diabetes-specific insurance plans, my mother being a Type – B diabetic, the insurance scheme approval was my biggest concern. There are a few other important parameters I checked to select a good plan, such as - exclusions, pre-hospitalization days insured, post-hospitalization days insured, no-claim bonus, etc. My agent then suggested me Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance. It was loaded with features and the plan covers doctor’s all the basic features plus consultation, diagnostic tests, medical bills besides hospitalization. It also had extra features like a wellness coach and a rewards system for improvement in health condition which was not available with other plans. All through the registration process, the customer support was very helping. The plan was approved in about a week’s time. Though I have not yet made a claim for the expenses yet, I am sure that part will be taken care of Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance as well. Overall a very happy customer experience.

A)It would be highly unlikely that our lives would not cross paths with products made by one of the Biggest Conglomerates of the country i.e, The Aditya Birla Group. In fact, plethora of ABG products and frequency with which we use them has made us incognizant to some extent regarding their importance and utility in our daily lives. I have been a loyal Idea Cellular customer since I purchased my first mobile and can never forget the ingenious “What an Idea Sirji” advertisements on TV featuring Abhishek Bachchan and the “An idea can change your Life” tagline which seems so simple yet is true in every sense. Who knows the idea of writing this article could change my… Anyways, we all know ABG and Vodafone partnership is going to revolutionize the telecom industry. Ultratech cement, another venture of ABG group is a pioneer in the cement industry and the country’s go to choice when it comes to construction, building projects. The premium men’s apparel “Louis Phillipe”, a division of the ABG has been my first choice whenever I’ve appeared for any interview in my life as when you dress your finest you begin to exude confidence. In retrospect, ABG products have always been a key part of my life and I have no doubt it would continue in the future as well.

Aditya Birla Group, one of India’s oldest and largest conglomerates has since its emergence been a part and parcel of our lives. Knowingly or unknowingly, we have been using its products on a daily basis. Products range from cement, apparel, telecommunication service and many more. Brands like Allen Solly, Pantaloons, Louis Philippe, Ultratech cement, Idea cellular are few of the top brands that are part of Aditya Birla Group. The values of the group are Integrity; Commitment; Passion; Seamlessness; Speed. These values reflect with my principles too, integrity being the most important of them all. Once a person builds a reputation of being honest and just, people look up to him and have a belief in him. Building such a reputation goes a long way and that’s what ABG has done. With its passion to drive changes and doing it with speed has been an advantage to it. Idea cellular is one such brand which has been an important part of my life. For last 10 years, I have been using it and Idea services have never disappointed me. Its commitment to serve the customers seamlessly has been the driving point and has kept people hooked to it. The ads about Idea shown on TV also clicked with everyone and hence helped to increase its popularity. In these years Idea has only grown stronger and better and that’s what has made me a loyal customer. Why only Idea, the apparel brands are even a bigger part of my life. Knowing how clothes can depict an individual’s personality, Pantaloons, Forever 21, Van Heusen, etc have played an interesting part in helping me look my best. An individual’s personality does not develop over-night. It’s a slow and gradual process. I would like to talk about how I transformed from a shy introvert girl to a confident girl. In school days, I used to be very quiet, always into her books. The only time I used to open up is when I used to participate in group singing competitions which would give me an unknown confidence. I then decided to build upon this and slowly people got to notice me. Still I was not getting confidence to go on stage and perform individually. As soon as I got into college, I always tried to get on to stage and perform individually. Finally when I got the chance to sing individually, I did a satisfactory task at singing but after that I became more confident and open. The friends I made in college helped me grow as a person and I will forever be thankful to them. The process does not end here. Working in the corporate showed me a whole new world of fake and challenging personalities and handling them was a task. I got to know how to showcase a strong and firm demeanour and this further developed my personality. All these experiences helped me become a more matured and confident individual which further assisted me to crack the B-school interviews and finally reach SIBM, Pune.
