Be the Change you want to see in the world-NITIE, Mumbai

Be the Change you want to see in the world-NITIE, Mumbai

Since the early days of my life, when I used to visit my village I used to see many underprivileged children who were deprived of education. This deprivation was mainly due to their parent’s low income and because of this, their parents used to work at different places making it difficult to admit their children to any single school. I always found it difficult to digest of not being in a position to help such kids.

Aditya Birla Group has a very special place in my life which I always treasure. I will always be thankful to the entire Birla family for setting up this world-class institute BITS Pilani. Being an alumnus of BITS Pilani, I have closely felt the depth of foundation history of BITS Pilani. It was a vision Dr G.D. Birla had to set up a world-class science and engineering institution in India post-independence.

Rendezvous with ABG!

Rendezvous with ABG!

ABG has touched millions of lives in one way or another throughout its corporate journey. For some it might be through its products, for some through its corporate initiatives and any of the other million ways possible. I had one such joyful rendezvous with Aditya Birla Group few months back. As a part of my college project work I was assigned a task to interact with the employees of many big conglomerates. There were many instances in which the employees were hesitant to help the students due to their busy schedule. But the employees at ABG's 'People' outlet were very cordial in their interaction with me and were really happy to help me out with the queries I had . Further they made me feel welcomed at their place and spoke with such enthusiasm about their work. I really felt connected with the employees and cherish the moment.Only an organisation with its value to serve the society ingrained in every employee of its family would be able to be do such a wonderful job!

Peter England, Louis Phillipe, Pantaloons, Idea, More. The brand I associate the most is with Idea. The perky and innovative advertisement off the idea cellular campaign was a refreshment in our tv sets. I was fascinated with the way social issue were tackled in subtlety. The impetus on using a young central actor in the ad is also a clever one. India's demographic at the moment is weighted highly towards the youth. Convert a young Indian into Idea Cellular user and there's high likelihood of that youth using the service for a long time. At that point of time it was the only company which targeted the tier 2 cities and the growing internet users in this country. Idea Cellular had wonderful and successful campaigns with 'Honey-Bunny' and 'No Ullu Banaoing'. As a leader in Value Added Services, Innovation was central to. It was the first cellular company to launch music messaging with 'Cellular Jockey', 'Background Tones', 'Group Talk', a voice portal with 'Say IDEA' and a complete suite of Mobile Email Services. A frontrunner in introducing revolutionary tariff plans, IDEA Cellular has the distinction of offering the most customer friendly and competitive Pre Paid offerings, for the first time in India, with 'Super Power', 2 Minutes Outgoing Free, Lifelong offer and other segmented offerings like Women's Card. 'Lifetime Idea' is the first and only loyalty program, for pre paid customers, introduced by a Cellular brand.

When I Failed AN Exam for the First Time....... !| SIBM - B #ABGLP_WOO_ME_SEASON2 #ABGLP #ABGLPWOOMECOMPETITION #ABGLPWOOMESEASON2-SIBM BENGALURU

During my freshman year at my Engineering college in Gujarat is when I faced my biggest challenge as a student. I had never lived away from home before, and I experienced severe homesickness. I was almost defeated by it on hearing the news of my parents settling in Indonesia as my Father switched his job. I did try to overcome my homesickness, which I thought by engrossing up in my college work, would do. Humongous in my own perspective, volume of work was a big change from high school. Assignments, Experiments and chapter deadlines assigned were more frequent than ever (Trust me ! MBA is totally another level).  In addition to the volume, the expectations and standards from work were also much higher! Well my formative years of Schooling, Good Grades and marks adorned my Mark sheet. But Things spiralled out of hand and First Mid Semester Exams, I just Passed three subjects and Gave Remedial Examination for 4th Subject. Well at the moment, this was a big deal for a School Topper and He took this to heart and  did consider this as a failure. The Exact Thoughts If I can particularly remember was Letting my parents down ! or Ab Mujhse Nahi Ho Paega ! or I am not made for this ! and the cliche whining  of why do such things happen to me !....(Yes ! it does seem trivial now ! )
