It was a cold January morning, precisely 16th of the month at 6:45 AM, when I woke up to finish my economics presentation, which is scheduled at 9.30 AM. At the same time, the much-awaited moment which was running in my mind all over the night i.e. Interview with Ernst & Young scheduled at 10.00 AM. All I am thinking is when the clock will tick 10. After a hasty presentation, I was just making myself comfortable.
I suffered. I struggled. I saw my loved ones die. I saw the nightmares no one saw. I knew the stories that were long lost. And I survived. To rise as the most powerful person of the seven kingdom, Bran the Broken. Pushed from a tower, crippled, yet escaped for the sake of destiny. Things didn’t end here. I dreamed of a three eyed raven calling me. Was this my fate? I wanted to follow it and I did. But in this journey, I lost all of my loved ones and was lost somewhere behind. I met the three eyed raven. I escaped the army of the dead and survived once again. What was even so strong in my fate that I kept on surviving. I was not the crippled one now. Not even the stark. I turned numb. I was the past, the present and the future. I could see things nobody could. I know things nobody knew. I was now a threat, to the army of the dead, to the Night King. He was before me. And he came, destroying the night’s watch, multiplying the enemy of dead. And he came, almost killing. And I survived for the third time. Not to suffer once again. But to accept the fate. To be the king. To be the most powerful of all. “So, Why do you think I came all this way?”

Aditya Birla Group has been an integral part of my life that makes me go down the memory lane whenever I come across Aditya Birla Group products even now. “Taking India to the world”, an apt campaign for a company that consistently lives it. With a global presence in over 36 countries and employees from 42 different nationalities, Aditya Birla Group has truly managed to take India and set it on the global stage. With a massive presence in apparels, chemicals, construction, Insurance and financial services, the Aditya Birla Group has pervasively managed to shape millions of lives through quality products and social initiatives. Despite the massive outreach, and consumer base, the conglomerate has managed to cater personally to every one of its customers, something which I can personally attest to. My father’s lifelong dream of building a house was recently realized. He always says “Build something in your life. It may be small, but it should be your own, and it should be beautiful the way you want it to be”. He has followed this principle to the letter, and adhered to it his whole life. He personally made the plans for the house, and himself selected the materials to be used, one of them being UltraTech Cement, while achieving his lifelong dream. It was one of the most joyous moments of our lives to see him working with the kind of passion and heart he poured into this project. It has been 3 years since the day we had the house-warming, and the house stands tall in the shadow of my father, in the suburbs of Mohali. This was my take on how a simple product of the Aditya Birla Group contributed in such a big way to an extraordinary dream.
A never give up attitude and an optimistic outlook for every situation has always helped me in sailing through the challenges in my life and making the best out of them. Last year in the month of July, I decided to appear for examinations to enroll in any one of the top B-schools in the country. I was also a full time employed individual. The criticality of the projects I was involved and my workaholic nature ensured, I was occupied with work for 12-14 hours every day. The remaining time was spent commuting in the Bangalore traffic, daily chores and sleep. It was very difficult for me to isolate time from my daily schedule to devote for exam preparation. Day by day, the project in my office became critical and my preparation by devoting a certain time was becoming a serious challenge. The weekends were saved for attempting mocks where I was also not performing well. The fire and zeal to secure a seat in a top B-schools and the hope that I will make it was always there. Hence I started micromanaging my daily schedule to boost up my preparation. I utilized the tea and lunch break in my office hours to stay updated of all the current happening around the world and revising the formulas and concept I studied previous night. I utilized the commuting hours in watching concept based videos from the internet. After reaching home, I used to solve question in a timed manner to simulate the exam like environment. There was a gradual improvement in my mock exams which made me confident of my approach and attitude towards preparation. Finally, I was able to crack the written exam and sail through GD and personal interview rounds to make into IIFT, Delhi which was one of my dream colleges to convert. When I look back to my preparation days, it was my never give up attitude and an optimistic outlook that has sailed me through all the challenges to land and secure a seat in IIFT, Delhi, prestigious and best B-school offering an MBA degree in International business.
Being multifaceted is about representing oneself in multiple domains along with having the capability to adapt to every domain one has been into. Aditya Birla Group has always its name resounding in every industry it has entered into. It has forayed into every sector I could relate to in my daily life. It connects me to my near and dear ones through its telecommunications network Vodafone Idea so that I can console myself until the day I go back home from my college. It has had its name resounding within four walls of my house built with its “Ultratech” cement, which has been an epitome of strength since its inception in 2005. Signing up for a SIP in an Aditya Birla Mutual Fund has given me a sense of safety and security of my future. It gives me an assurance of a safer life to my family, even after I leave this world.
