This article breaks down how a 100 percentiler in CAT who made it to IIM Ahmedabad graduate tackled his why MBA answer. The aim is to give you useful tips to craft a strong "Why MBA" answer for your interview. It's an answer from the author’s lens to help you express why you're excited about an MBA and what you hope to achieve with it.
My Background
To give you a flavor of what MBA interviews actually look like, we bring to you our interview re-enactment series where we collect interview experiences from Bschool students and present their re-enacted versions. Ruchi Mehta is a student of IIM Calcutta. She is an engineer with work experience as a software engineer at JP Morgan Chase. Her answers were detailed and crisp, and her ability to answer technical questions related to her work experience stood out in the interview. Her general knowledge and awareness of current affairs across the world also helped her crack the round. This is a re-enactment of Ruchi Mehta's IIM Calcutta interview experience.

But, it isn’t an easy decision to make. Both financially and emotionally it is a big decision to take for many. So, we thought of making it a bit easier for you with this webinar. We have two alum members from the institute, Monish Singh and Abhishek Vats along with a professor from the university Prof Prasanna Karhade, who are going to solve a lot of your queries about studying abroad and particularly in an institute like CUHK.
My Background I completed my Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2020, followed by 18 months of work experience in the Quality Assurance domain with Cognizant.
