A year ago, after my first CAT attempt and a 95.45 percentile, I stood at a crossroads many MBA aspirants would consider enviable — with admission offers from multiple IIMs, including Vishakhapatnam, Amritsar, Sirmaur, and Jammu. But instead of taking the leap, I paused.
As a teenager, I was majorly into reading novels. You could often find me sneakily reading a book while I had my exams going on. While I don't recommend this 100℅, the novels did introduce me to ideas textbooks never could. On one occasion, I had laid my hands on Chetan Bhagat's 'One Indian Girl'. The teenager me felt excited while reading it. The story revolves around an Indian Girl Radhika Mehta who is a successful investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Something struck a chord in me.
2022 was when I first dipped my toes into the MBA world. I attempted CAT just to understand what the exam felt like — no prep, just curiosity. But it was in 2023, after finishing engineering, that I got serious about my B-school dreams.
Preparing for the MBA has not merely been an academic journey; it has been a series of transformative learning experiences. I was never a particularly patient person, but this journey has taught me the value of patience, time management, and a host of other essential skills.
Life has truly come full circle—from dreaming of IIT during my engineering days to finally making it to VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur. This journey has been full of ups and downs, doubts and decisions, pain and patience—but above all, it’s been a journey of not giving up.
The beginning of my MBA journey dates back to when I was in Class VIII. Back then, I was an average student, and none of my family members, even in my extended circle, had ever pursued an MBA from a premier business school.
Let me be honest—I wasn’t always sure I’d make it.

Today, I’m proud to share that I have converted IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, and FMS Delhi — every top B-school I aspired to get into.
