Five Management Lessons From ICC World Cup 2019 Final

We live in a country where the child learns the rules of cricket before learning the alphabets. While our dream ended with India’s exit from the world cup, cricket had its own way of glueing us to the world cup. The world cup final match between England and NewZealand is perhaps the biggest moment in the history of cricket. The match ferried us on a roller coaster of emotions - joy, sympathy, sadness, regret and ecstasy.

Life is a challenge- Face it!! Every now and then we find ourselves being pierced by a plethora of challenges. It doesn't depend upon the stock of your arsenal but your skills of using them that can win you a battle. And I believe a man who is persistent and passionate will always sail through such challenges. My life is nothing different from the rest. Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution proposed the survival of the fittest. Since birth we have been at constant battle against a new challenge that crops up the moment we feel we have conquered the last one!! The first challenge was to get a good education. Now that I landed up in an institute of national importance, the new battle began to get a good start to the corporate life. This landed me a job in an aluminium smelter in my home state itself. Another new challenge!!

From Small Roots To ABG Dreams - Reems Kottackal, NMIMS, Mumbai

During the days I worked as an Engineer, I was looking out for a mobile network connection which would provide me connectivity both in my relatively less urbanized hometown and the urban city I worked in. My friends pitched for Vodafone Idea connection and later I was grateful to them because once when there was a cell tower failure impacting almost all networks around my place, people were able to reach out to me through Vodafone Idea connection. Much later in life I was in search of smart casual tops and formal shirts. I was amazed to find the plethora of choices Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Pantaloons provided at my fingertips. I was skeptical about buying clothes form e-shopping sites since there was a probability that the product may not look as given in the images and returning could have hassles. However since the deals looked so good and transparent, I decided to give it a try. Among the three I bought, I had to return only one and that was because of my preference and not due to damage or deviation from what I had expected. Moreover the return collection was so prompt and hassle free that I recommended the same to my friends.
