IIM Lucknow is back with the latest edition of Manfest-Varchasva, it’s annual Business, Cultural and Sports festival, scheduled to be held between 17th-19th November, this year. Over the past 30 years, the fest has successfully worked towards providing its participants and guests with an experience like no other, filled with enticing, exciting and enriching events. This year, it’s getting bigger and better, with a plethora of events, competitions and speakers spread across the domains of marketing, finance, strategy, dance, theatre, fashion, literary and much more.
Deloitte offered three roles for this year’s placement - MRM, Risk and Advisory and Management Consulting role (Technology). I was shortlisted and interviewed for the Management Consulting role.
Life at B-School is filled with fun, challenges and great learning and the best thing that can happen to a graduate is that he gets a similar environment at his workplace. Capgemini’s E.L.I.T.E. Program has introduced me to a workplace that provides the most conducive environment to learn, grow and enjoy.
“Learn to work with people you wouldn’t go to lunch with” – a quote by Garry Marshall, famous director, on the best career advice he ever received. Engineer or commerce graduate, each of us, in the end, work with people around us. Moreover, when it comes to people, the technical knowledge alone does not help much. Understanding people lets you understand how to get them to work, and that is what management is all about. Every b-school teaches this very concept in a more profound stretch allowing the student to analyse which sector requires what set of skills.
