“The grass is always greener on the other side”. This is what if not all then most of the aspirants see when they decide to pursue MBA. But it’s not the case always. Everything has its own pros and cons and the decision should not be based upon pros only but an equal consideration should be given to the other side also.

Aashisha Chakraborty is a student of MBA (IB) at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. A former software engineer, she has an eye for quirky details and breezes through life wearing a multi-coloured lens. She has freelanced for websites like Being Cyrus and her articles have appeared in The Hindu and The Times of India NIE. Having been published in a poetry compilation ‘Kaafiyana’ and anthologies like ‘Defiant Dreams’ and ‘Mock, Stalk and Quarrel’ by Readomania, she pens down her insights in the form of stories, verses and blog posts on her blog ‘Mind’s Bin’ (http://mindsbin.blogspot.com/).
This is the story of a girl with grit and determination, who would go on to fight the odds and come out victorious. She belongs to a small town in Rajasthan and till the end of her high school she was in a class of 7 students, 5 of them being guys. So the phrase “Girls are weaker than boys” was something she had never heard of as her friend circle was always of guys and she would ride along with her male mates on each and every prank they played, or any mischief they did. Shifting through Hindi and English medium schools did not alter her approach towards life. Her parents played a major role in strengthening her belief towards equality of both the genders and never to feel intimidated. Rishika proudly owes her determined and independent attitude towards life to her parents especially her father.
