For Manavdeep Singh (currently a student of IIM Lucknow), the initial part of his life was full of highs. He was an academically successful person who did his Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University. He even got a PPO from Tata Motors. Manavdeep loved riding motorcycles, so when the opportunity in Honda opened up, he took it without hesitation. However, during a bike test, the brakes malfunctioned and he met with an accident. Everything started spiraling out of control from thereon. He had to be hospitalized, it was there when he decided to sit for the CAT exam. Despite being unable to sit up straight and study properly, he managed to score a 99%ile and was able to score a seat in IIM Lucknow. CAT Made Easy: Tips To Crack The Exam

CAT Made Easy: Tips To Crack The Exam

Hello, I am Sagar Vazirani, a management graduate from Symbiosis, Pune. I scored 97+ percentile in CAT 2019 which was my third attempt. I got calls from MDI, XLRI (HRM), IIM Shillong, CAP IIMs, IMT, IMI, IIT Madras, NMIMS and I converted MDI, CAP IIMs, IMT, IMI, IIT and NMIMS and have finally decided to join MDI-Gurgaon. The journey was not easy and had its own ups and downs. From getting a negative score in DI LR & QA in my first few mocks to getting a good percentile on the D-Day, the only thing that kept me going was the dream to get into a top B-school.

IIM Calcutta Convert Soutik Ray Shares His Interview Experience

IIM Calcutta Convert Soutik Ray Shares His Interview Experience

If acing CAT is tough, getting into BLACKIS may seem tougher. I was just getting started with my final semester when I got my calls from these colleges. I was excited and nervous at the same time. Why? Quora. If you ever chance upon the answers to interview related questions there, I can guarantee the experiences shared there will haunt you. "Blood bath" and whatnot. Like any curious aspirant, I sifted through the answers, and none of the experiences seemed comfortable enough for me to gain some confidence. Every one of them wrote about how they were grilled by panellists and how stressful the interview was for some reasons. I who had no idea about an interview of an IIM seemed pretty convinced that I will not have a smooth ride through this journey. To make sure I didn't gain any confidence back, my practice interviews were worse. One of the interviewers even told me that I wouldn't be able to crack any interview as far as he could judge my ability to tackle pressure. Honestly, that did not break me, on the contrary, that one line boosted my will to work harder than ever. That will turn into confidence once I sat in the interviewee chair at some five-star hotels.
