Things To Remember While Organising A TEDx Event At Your B-School

MBA is tough. Surviving on four hours of sleep daily is not that easy. And if you decide that mainstream is not challenging enough for you (I still don’t know why on Earth I thought so), then you end up taking some additional responsibility and lose your remaining sleep on that. My choice of poison was TEDxIIMShillong :D. Time, sleep, rest, celebrations everything was a far-fetched dream as the day of the event approached. From flight booking of speakers to stage setup, everything had to be perfect. Having said that, I have never worked with a better team, never seen a more enthusiastic audience for an event and never have I ever seen a better line-up of such humble and interesting speaker.

How I Made It to 'Systematics' - The Systems & Analytics Club Of SJMSOM, IIT Bombay

With hundreds of hopes and aspiration began our session here at SJMSOM last July. Placed inside IIT Bombay, I thought that SJMSOM could provide a rich blend of management and technological expertise. I had extensive work experience in data and analytics before joining. During our induction week, we were briefed about many aspects such as facilities, curriculum, clubs, and teams etc. Apart from the world-class sports facilities, the official systems and analytics club drew all my intention in the first week itself.

The MBA Entrepreneur - Your Idea, Your Business

Entrepreneurship in this day and age is the catalyst for Innovation. Elon Musk is an example of prodigy who required no Education to succeed with his mind-boggling ventures. There are success stories in the past like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates who own the biggest corporate and yet hire MBA personnel if needed as well. MBA founded talents who have earmarked change are often less heard of and yet there are few who brought laurels. Holding an MBA can be stereotyped as doing more harm than good in the entrepreneurial circles.

What Is Google AdWords And Why Should You Care About It?

I have been using the same mobile phone for the past 5 years. Needless to say, its time I switch to a new phone, this one will not let me even click pictures anymore. So, I went to an e-commerce website. Browsed and browsed for hours. Almost reached a decision and then got confused among a couple of models. I then decided that I can decide between the two later, and closed the browser. That was two days ago and every time I have opened my browser after that, Google has bombarded me with advertisements of smartphones; especially those two models. Lucrative offers to buy them from different websites, offers of new phones in a similar price range, and advertisements that look like a humble reminder of my purchase from the same e-commerce website. As of five minutes before writing this article, I have ordered a new phone.

Resume: The Brand For MBA Applicants

Resume acts as a quintessential component in the Business School Applications. It provides a snapshot of skills, experience, key accomplishments and interests. A company has written a one page CV of Elon Musk, and the world has gone gaga with this interesting feat. The accomplishments, the relevance along with brevity is the order of the day. Verbose CV that flaunts a lot while lacks content lose credential. Curriculum Vitae, as it is often called, refers to "The Way of Life" as the original meaning.

When IIT-Bombay Started Getting Known More For Its Management

The first day that I entered the haloed gates of IIT Bombay, it took me minutes to get over my surprise. In the midst of a sunny crowded bustling city of Mumbai, this green and breezy campus felt like an oasis. Well, that was not all. I had my interview at SJMSOM in the first week of March. The culture of the college was the first striking feature that struck me when I had started receiving emails for the admissions process. Such meticulous and informative emails! They even sent us preparatory material before the interview. In no other process, I had seen such attention to details.
