It has to be said that if you are keen on a career in the Human Resources domain, then TISS is one of the 2-3 places in India to go to. A small batch of 60 has its advantages too apart from being in Business capital of India - Mumbai. TAS recruited for the first time at TISS during final placements. Flipkart, Snapdeal, Accenture, ABG, HUL, ITC, Hay Group, Mercer, Citibank, Deutsche Bank are the other big names.
JBIMS Mumbai concluded Final Placements in February. This is the first time we are doing a verified Final Placements Report for JBIMS Mumbai. BCG, Accenture Strategy, Goldman Sachs, Standard Chartered, Google, Flipkart, Barclays Capital, HUL, Ernst & Young are the top names that recruited at JBIMS Mumbai.
You would think the premier schools of India will lead the way in what can be described as a super hit placement season across campuses. IIM Bangalore's placement season only strengthens that belief. As has been the trend for this batch everywhere, E-Commerce is the sector firing on all cylinders. Amazon and Snapdeal made 17 offers each. Similarly, the private equity and venture capital scene at IIM Bangalore seems to be up again (It could also just be that they are revealing more names this year. Either way it looks good). The Consulting domain has snapped up a whopping 30% of the batch with the biggest names in the business all being there. Banking and Finance though half the size of Consulting still outshines Sales & Marketing. Another remarkable statistic is that 60% of the batch had a PPO or a Lateral Job offer in hand before the placement season began. Nearly 33% of the batch bagged PPOs in a batch of 400 odd. It is more than the batch size of a few schools like JBIMS!
IIM Ahmedabad concluded its final placements on March 1, 2015 after the Cluster 3. IIM Ahmedabad does not share profile -wise data and expects us to check the report 6 months later which will report audited salary information and other details like number of International offers and regions where students will work across the world and in India.
XLRI successfully placed 299 students in the Class of 2014. 99 PPOs in a batch of 299 students (1/3rd of the batch) is a good number. XLRI continues to be among the top few schools that offer a balanced mix of profiles across various functions and sectors.
The most fascinating aspect about SPJIMR report is the number of PPOs. More than 40% of the batch (92 out of 228) gets placed after Autumn internships. Quite a telling statistic. We have often mentioned in our reports on InsideIIM.com previously that SPJIMR students stick around longer in the first job from campus because of their orientation in a specialized field. This makes them preferable among many recruiters. The list of recruiters at SPJIMR will be very consistent over the years because they keep recruiting year after year. Clearly, satisfaction levels are high at the campus.
This is clearly, IIM Indore's best final placements season since 2011 (when the batch was 240) if not before then. 508 candidates placed including students from IIM Indore Mumbai campus. Roles across the spectrum. Presence of big names like Mckinsey & Co., BCG, Google, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, HUL, Flipkart, GE, eBay, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, L'Oreal only adds more lustre.
