Summer Placements : JBIMS – Class of 2014 -16

We started reporting placements at JBIMS last year with the summer placement report for the batch of 2013-2015 in the InsideIIM format. During final placements, we couldn't report it in the InsideIIM format - we had to go ahead with an unverified report for the final placements for class of 2014. IIM Udaipur, PGPX Batch - Summer Internship Report 2014-2015

The summer placement process for the second batch of Dual Degree program in Global Supply Chain Management of Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur was successfully completed in April- May 2014. PGPX Summer Internship or “Experiential Learning Exercise” is an 8 week graded exercise. The goal of this exercise is to help students get hands-on experience of concepts in supply chain and operations. After the completion of internship project, students are graded by professors from Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. Students are also provided support by industry mentors as academic rigour is expected from students for internship projects..

Summer Placements : IIM Indore – Class of 2014 -16

This was the largest batch across IIMs (a total of over 550 students, with the IPM program also being included in the summer placement process). After the stellar performances of XLRI Jamshedpur, TISS and FMS Delhi, IIM Indore too has enjoyed a great run this season.

Summer placements this season have been something of a party, at least at top B schools. Students from here have been making their joy known on Facebook, and for once, the draconian Placecoms didn't seem to mind. From the victory dance at MDI Gurgaon, to euphoria at IIM L, B schools are having a good time. XLRI is having a great time. For the second year in succession, XLRI is the first to report its summer placements on InsideIIM. Summer placements were excellent for the batch of 2015 last year , especially in the form of a greater width and depth of profiles in finance. This year, it is even better. Here are some of the highlights of this summer placement season.

Summer Placements : TISS Mumbai – Class of 2014-16

We recently started reporting the summer and final placements at the HRM & LR programme. The program is one of the oldest in the country (running since 1962) and it is arguably among the top two HR programmes in the country. We covered the summer placements for the Class of 2015 here and the final placements for the Class of 2014 here. Both round of placements were impressive, especially the final placements which got over in two days.

Final Placements : IIM Indore UAE – Class of 2014

We've recently started reporting on the final placements at IIM Indore UAE in our InsideIIM format. Our knowledge about this program continues to remain a bit sketchy, because of its short history and because it is out of our network. You can read our introductory post on the MBA programme of IIM Indore UAE here. Students and recruiters reading this are requested to do their own research. On the other hand, we continue to receive several queries about this programme on our portal, and we are happy to furnish the placement report in the InsideIIM format, as confirmed by the placement committee at IIM Indore UAE (placements at IIM Indore UAE are independently handled by the institute's own placement committee at UAE, and the parent campus does not actively help in the placement process).

IIM Ahmedabad Final Placements – Class of 2014 (IPRS verified)

Earlier in the season we had published an unverified report on IIM Ahmedabad's final placements for the batch of 2014. IIM Ahmedabad has now released the final placement report in the CRISIL - audited IPRS format. (You can download it from their website). The IPRS format is very rigorous and granular in the level of detail provides. Most placement committees will be terrified if asked to report their data in this format - too many skeletons will come tumbling out of their closets. IIM Ahmedabad has shown commendable leadership among Indian B schools to push ahead with this format. On the other hand, it is easy to be truthful with disclosures when the truth itself paints such a rosy picture.
