On the 28th of February 2015, Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur, had the privilege of hosting Mr. Anand Maithani – Head SCM, Apollo Tyres Limited as a part of Vaarta ’15 series of guest lectures.
Ms. Deepa Thomas, General Manager, Group Communications at Mahindra & Mahindra, visited IIM Indore Mumbai campus on 7th March 2015 to interact with PGP students. Ms. Deepa is a corporate communications professional with 18 years of expertise in external & employee communications. She is leading the communications mandate for Mahindra Group companies – Mahindra Holidays & Mahindra Partners.
The unprecedented growth rate of the Indian GDP seems to be translating well for established B-schools across India. KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar - or KSOM as its popularly called - is already seeing an upswing in the average salaries. The highest salary offered thus far has been 13.5 Lakhs CTC by the Oman-headquartered Khimji Ramdas LLC. The average salary offered so far is 4.78 Lakhs. This is a significant increase of 27% from last year, when KSOM had registered an average CTC of 4.0 Lakhs.

It’s that time of the year for B Schools when the placement season gets underway and management hopefuls see their dreams turn into reality. Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad one of the top management destinations of Hyderabad certainly has a reason to cheer because the placement season has gotten off to a solid start. Dr. C. N. Narayana, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) new Director, has done the institute proud by completing a hat-trick for coveted teaching awards. He has now won the prestigious 2015 DNA & World Educational Congress Award. He was given the Best Professor award in the seventh edition of the highly decorated event that was held at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai on the 18th of Feb.
