S-TEAM 2021- Consilience In Business Practices

The second edition of the S-TEAM conference kicked off on 27th September 2021 with a strong message of resilience and consilience. S-TEAM, which stands for SCMHRD- Technology, Economics, Analytics, and Management Conference, revolves around pertinent issues of today's times. The topics in the spotlight were circular economy, renewable energy, agility, resilience, disruptive innovation, consumerism, and digital transformation. A pre-conference case writing workshop was held on 25th September by Dr. Amarpreet Singh, who delved deeper into the nuances of case writing by discussing the case titled "Shradhanjali.com: New Address for Memories of our Ancestors." The inaugural ceremony, held two days later, was attended by the Guest of Honour, Prof. Sylvaine Castellano, Professor in Strategy & Dean of Research, EM Normandie Business School, France; Dr. Vidya Yaravdekar, Pro-Chancellor, SIU; Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice-Chancellor, SIU; Dr. Pratima Sheorey, Director, SCMHRD, and Dr. Netra Neelam, Deputy Director, SCMHRD.

IIM Calcutta Summer Placements 2021 - Median Stipend Above INR 1.4 Lakhs Per Month

IIM Calcutta has completed its summer internship placement process for the 58th batch, securing 570 offers for 476 students, with 142 firms participating in the placement process. The placement saw participation from top financial institutions such as Bank of America, Blackstone, Macquarie and top consulting firms like Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Co. IIM Kashipur: Experiential Learning Initiative

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur, has launched its Experiential Learning initiative this year. Experiential learning is a newly framed initiative of IIM Kashipur which seeks to enhance the involvement of the institute in the developmental issues primarily pertaining to the region of Uttarakhand. This initiative seeks to connect its students across programs with organizations in the region addressing agenda related to economic and societal development. Hence, it will create a mutual value for organizations and students. While organizations can derive helping hands on their intellectual, research, and field requirements, students will receive the invaluable ‘Experiential Learning’. The governing body of the initiative will be chaired by Prof, Vivek Roy. Other members of the governing body include Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya, Prof. Kumkum Bharti, Prof. Abhishek Shrivastava and Prof. Kunal Ganguly.
