Let me introduce myself. I am a Mechanical Engineer from BITS Pilani 2015 batch. I scored 99.89%ile in CAT 2016 and 99.63% in XAT 2016. I had calls from IIM C, L, K, I, S and XLRI. I have converted IIM C and will be joining it.
It was 16th may 2017 and I was constantly checking the portal from my office throughout the day. It was around 4:30 pm in the evening when the page suddenly read, 'You have been provisionally selected for admission to Post Graduate Programme in Management at Indore Campus (PGP 2017-19 Batch) of IIM Indore’. Yes, it was my only old IIM call.
I secured 99.4 %ile in CAT 2013 which was decent enough to get me a call from all the premier B-schools, and IIM Lucknow was one of them.
I was sitting in a Theatre watching a movie and my phone rang. One of my friends told me about his CAT result. I decided not to check mine on the website because I don’t want to know my result as I don’t want failure 6th time. This was my 6th trial; I was appearing for CAT since 2011 and never missed a single year.
