Greetings to all the MBA aspirants!
Greetings to all the MBA aspirants!
Mr. Smrutinjay Mishra is a First year MBA (IB) student at IIFT Kolkata. In this article, he shares some time-tested strategies that would help the aspirants in cracking the IIFT Entrance test.
I remember two years ago sitting there on the usual last bench of my classroom supposedly learning electronics and telecommunication engineering, having no idea what I was doing with my life or where it was actually headed. The placement season was about to begin and I lacked the motivation to actually prepare for an IT job. Our beloved Sanghamitra ma'am suddenly walked in. She looked angry and not her usual happy self. Then followed an hour-long verbal bashing for all of us and the crux of the matter was "Please buckle up! Do something about your lives. You all are better than this". That somehow clicked.
Hello there! I am not in the hope of finding you to be doing very well in terms of health and the general state of the mind. It’s November and you’re just a month away from most of your MBA entrance exams. So at this juncture, it felt like it was our duty to have a communication from the other end as the last mile connectivity before D-Day. I have here laid down 5 key areas to focus before attempting the IIFT exam.

We got a lot of questions from CAT 2016 aspirants about the exam, preparation plan and general preparation strategy; for the benefit of everyone we have compiled a list of some of the most frequently asked questions and answered them in 2 posts. (The second one will be up next week)
One day while sitting in front of my computer in office, I realized that only 30 days were left for CAT, for which I had been preparing for quite some time. My mock test scores were not something I could boast of. I had been thinking to go for a more serious attempt the next year and was taking CAT 2015 as another mock. With 30 days left, pressure and expectations, both were high, so I was continuously thinking what should I do. I did what any engineer would, I went to a café, had a strong coffee and forgot about it till the evening. Today, as I recall that afternoon at the coffee shop, I list down some important lessons that may come in handy for those who find themselves in a similar situation.
