IIM Calcutta has announced the admission criteria for the PGP-PGDM batch of 2017-19 and the big news is that weight given to CAT has dropped further. One of the last bastions for students with slightly bad acads who could get calls on the back of their CAT Percentile has also decided to give way to a more 'complete profile'.

Meet Sandhini Nagvekar, hailing from Mumbai. She did her schooling from Hasanat High School and did her Junior college from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. Moving ahead, she graduated from Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce NMIMS University with a BBA in 2014. Currently, she is pursuing her MBA in Human Resource from SIBM Pune. She has a year’s work experience in Pharmaceutical Distribution at North West Pharma Hub. Dancing runs in her veins and she has a keen interest in learning foreign languages. She also considers herself a foodie with a love for desserts and sea food.
Why have we titled this piece the “Definitive Reading list for CAT Preparation ( Reading Comprehension)”? No particular reason. We thought of saying “Perhaps a decent starting habit to build a reading habit”. That’s not quite appealing, is it?
Three months to CAT and a major part of the preparation includes writing a lot of Mock test. And why only CAT, any entrance exams that you’re planning to sit for will require you to write Mock tests. And a serious aspirant should definitely have a strategy in place while attempting Mocks. The point is to get the most out of this stage of your preparation and to get better with each Mock test which will enable you to give your best for the D-Day.
