The BIG journey
Aditya Birla Group, the name says it all. The brand definitely has a journey like no other and has consistently offered innovative products and services from its inception. It’s presence is big not only in my life but in the lives of Indians in general. From installing 1000 biogas plants to vaccinating over 90 million people, Aditya Birla Group has done it all.My life also somewhat revolves around Aditya Birla Group and its products. From starting my day by watching the phone whose screen is made up of Hindalco Aluminum from Hindalco Limited to driving cars made of carbon nanoparticles from Birla Carbon, to going to college which is made of UltraTech cement as a chief component, Aditya Birla Group sums up my life and how. I still remember it was my parents 25th anniversary and I was out on office emergency to my client location in Hyderabad. But as soon as I finished my work at office, I booked a flight to my home at Kolkata to surprise my parents. But can I go home empty handed when the occasion is such grand? Of course I can’t.As soon as I entered the airport thinking about what can I take for them, the Pantaloons store caught my attention. Pantaloons has been reliable right from my childhood days and I remembered vividly going to shop at Pantaloons with my mom for Durga Pujas which is the most famous festival here in Kolkata. I used to wait for the day to arrive when mom would rake me to Pantaloons and let me shop as much as I want and whatever I want. Those who say something never change, are right. No matter what my friends say, girl friend say or who so ever it might be say, I would always refer to my mom and ask her to chose the best dress for me. I have travelled to almost all parts of the country for my job and the only thing I found constant in all the cities was Pantaloons. I used to go to the trial room and send my mom pictures asking for her confirmation while I called her and told her to be online in Whatsapp and she left her job and sat down to assist me. Every time I came out from the store, she used to say how many more days do I need to assist you? When will you grow up ? Everytime my answer was this is the last time. But the chain continued. This time around although things were different, it was my exam, my moment of truth. I had to shop for my stylist and my dad and I could not consult her as well. I went inside with a lot of courage and bought a Kurti for my mom and a shirt for my dad and got them gift wrapped. I was anxious throughout my journey as to how would she feel after opening this. As soon as I went home, my mom was soo happy to see me that she gave me a tight hug. I told her that surprises are not over yet and I handed her the gift and also the gift to my dad. I told them that they have been my pillar of strength throughout my life and I just cannot let their special day be boring. As soon as my mom opened the gift, there was joy in her eyes and a huge smile in her face. She loved the dress soo much that she changed it and wore it instantly, held my hand tight and told me – Son,now you wont need me anymore to shop. You have learnt it. Those expressions on the face of my parents were priceless. Thank you Aditya Birla Group, thank you for making our lives soo much better, thank you for giving us such golden moments of joy.

Integral stories and Influential experiences with the Aditya Birla Group | Ninad Mehendale, IIFT
The famous Chilean writer Isabel Allende once said, ‘Roots are not in landscape or a country, or people, they are inside you'. Such has been my association with the Aditya Birla Group (ABG) - My Grandfather worked in Grasim Industries, Nagda until retirement and stayed in the staff quarters there. My mother completed her schooling from Birla School in the city. Thus, began my association with one of the biggest Groups in the World. Years have passed since and the impact and involvement of ABG has never diminished in my life. It has been an integral part of being alive every day.
The Unspoken Conglomerate | Rigved Kaleru,IIFT
Just a casual weekend where my family had a sudden plan for an outing, all credits to my mom because she feels we don’t get much family time in this busy life that everyone has got into, and also the fact that she wanted to flaunt her new Liva natural fluid fashion dress. I always feel that the latter is much of a bigger reason for her. My dad is no less when it comes to looking uptight, always putting in the extra effort just to beat my mom. He is always in a fix just standing motionless in front of his wardrobe, staring at the huge piles of dressing collections he possesses. He is in a dilemma weather he has to go for the Peter England formal look, or sport the Allen Solly, Wimbledon collection. I knew it would take at least an hour for him to be done with the clothing session, and luckily he does not put up so much pressure into his footwear because he just sticks to his lovely Van Heusen kicks. Me on the other hand was just strolling into my room to get into my favourite Louis Philippe, because there’s no way else for me to pull off a gentleman’s look. I see my sister still browsing and switching through the Forever 21 and Planet Fashion websites for sales and new collection, I could guess that without even having to see her phone. My mom on the other hand yelling that it is getting late, while packing all the food we need in Freshpakk containers, I could even smell the delicious aloo paratha that she was wrapping with Freshwrapp aluminium foils. These foils trigger the nostalgic memories as crumbling them and using them to play football was the only sports we had.. While doing all the work she kept ticking on the UltraTech diary where creates a to-do list. My dad being a builder and who only uses UltraTech cement keeps getting all goodies from UltraTech, my whole house is filled with them. There is not a single day that my dad never boasts about how good UltraTech cement is compared to any other cement in this country, he says any structure built by UltraTech will stand easy for centuries. My mom’s yelling has increased in frequency indicating we have very little to spare. I run and dress up and search for my sister to save her form all the scolding, but there she was all dressed up in her Ralph Lauren polo. That gets me thinking how strong my mom’s yelling can work. Now we were all set, my dad was just making his final payment to the resort we were staying at through his Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank portal. All packed and inside the car we head for a great joyous weekend. Throughout the whole journey I was just wondering how a conglomerate Aditya Birla Group has just become an integral part of everyone’s life without anyone even realizing it. Thank You Aditya Birla Group for all the comforts and developments you have brought to this country, always taking the nation forward for a developed future.
